and support. So, let's dive in and discover some of the most inspiring and impactful
women empowerment projects that you can be a part of.

Nayak, P., &
Mahanta, B. (2012)
•The present paper is an attempt to analyse the status of women empowerment in India using various indicators based on data from secondary sources. The study reveals that women of India
are relatively disempowered and they enjoy somewhat lower status than that of men in spite of many efforts undertaken by government. Gender gap exists regarding access to education and
employment. Household decision making power and freedom of movement of women vary considerably with their age, education and employment status. It is found that acceptance of unequal
gender norms by women are still prevailing in the society. More than half of the women believe wife beating to be justified for one reason or the other. Fewer women have final say on how to
spend their earnings. Control over cash earnings increases with age, education and with place of residence. Women’s exposure to media is also less relative to men. Rural women are more prone to
domestic violence than that of urban women. A large gender gap exists in political participation too. The study concludes by an observation that access to education and employment are only the
enabling factors to empowerment, achievement towards the goal, however, depends largely on the attitude of the people towards gender equality.

Chakravarty, S., Kumar,
A., & Jha, A. N. (2013)
•Women’s Empowerment has been an issue of immense discussions and contemplation over the last few decades world-wide. This as an agenda has been on top of the lists
of most government plans & programs as well. Efforts have been made on a regular basis across nations to address this issue and enhance the socio-economic status of women.
However, it has been observed that most of the policies and programs view empowerment in the economic sense only working in the belief that economic self-reliance empowers
women ignoring other variables like health, education, literacy etc. This working research paper attempts to understand the concept of women empowerment on a holistic basis
and critically examine the efforts initiated towards empowering women with special emphasis upon the Self Help Groups(SHGs) based upon empirical work undertaken in the
Ranchi district of Jharkhand state in India. It further aims towards understanding the linkages between SHGs & women empowerment and proposing suggestions to accelerate the
empowerment drive paying due attention to the local level area specific factors for a developing country like India which have a crucial impact upon region specific women
empowerment process and thereby point the way for further research in the area.

Dr. K. V. Sob ha Rani
( 2021 )
•Empowerment of women is essentially the process of upliftments of economic, social and
political status of women, the traditionally underprivileged ones, in the society. It is the process
of guarding them against all forms of violence. Women empowerment involves the building up
of a society, a political environment, wherein women can breathe without the fear of oppression,
exploitation, apprehension, discrimination and the general feeling of persecution which goes with
being a woman in a traditionally male dominated structure. Women constitute almost 50% of
the world’s population but India has shown disproportionate sex ratio whereby female’s
population has been comparatively lower than males. As far as their social status is concerned,
they are not treated as equal to men in all the places. In the Western societies, the women have
got equal right and status with men in all walks of life. But gender disabilities and
discriminations are found in India even today. Thus this paper will focus on the place of women
in the society of India.

Methodology :
•The research method followed here by the researcher is a descriptive
method.A total of 203 samples have been taken out of which they are
taken by simple random sampling from all over india. The sample that
was taken by the researcher was from Chennai and through an online
convenient sampling method. The independent variables taken here are
age, gender, educational qualification, employment status. The dependent
variables include whether the existing government is going in right right
direction to serve people, basis of assess the political candidate.

Discussion
•FIG 1 : Figure 1 reveals that the majority of responses fall within the 43-53 age groups. This age bracket's prominence in the sample population suggests that
individuals in this demographic are actively engaged in discussions about women's empowerment .FIG 2 : Figure 2 provides insight into the overall gender preference
of the sample when evaluating candidates. Understanding the gender preference of the electorate is essential in assessing the political landscape's readiness for
women's empowerment FIG 3 : The graph in Figure 3 highlights the income distribution of respondents in Chennai. Notably, over one-third of respondents report
earning more than 40,000 rupees. This information is crucial for understanding the economic background of those surveyed.FIG 4: Figure 4 portrays the education
qualification distribution of the sample population and their agreeability towards reservation for women's empowerment. The fact that over half of the respondents
are post-graduates may indicate a relatively educated and informed group. FIG 5 : Figure 5 offers insights into the occupational distribution of the sample. With a
substantial portion being self-employed, it's important to consider how various employment sectors view women's empowerment. FIG 6 : Figure 6 demonstrates the
age distribution of the sample and their perception of women's contribution to economic development. The observation that the age group of 43-53 believes
women's empowerment hinders economic growth is a noteworthy finding that warrants further exploration. FIG 7 : Figure 7 illustrates the age distribution of the
sample's views on women's empowerment's impact on family dynamics and well-being. The belief among the 43-53 age group that it can positively affect
household well-being and children is a positive indicator for the potential societal impact of women's empowerment. FIG 8 : Figure 8 shows the age distribution of
the sample population in terms of their agreeability with the importance of women's empowerment. Understanding the perspectives of different age groups is crucial
in tailoring empowerment initiatives to resonate with the broader population. FIG 9 : Figure 9 highlights the relationship between monthly income and the perceived
importance of women's empowerment. It's intriguing to see how income levels correlate with differing perceptions of the significance of women's empowerment.
FIG 10 : Figure 10 presents educational qualification distribution and its connection to agreeability with women's empowerment's role in fostering economic growth.
This suggests that education plays a pivotal role in shaping opinions about women's empowerment. FIG 11 : Figure 11 delves into the occupational distribution of the
sample and their views on how women's empowerment affects society. Notably, self-employed individuals largely believe it positively affects society by reducing
gender inequality

Limitation
•THE MAJOR LIMITATIONS OF MY STUDY WOULD BE IN COLLECTING SAMPLES. IT WASN’T SUITABLE FOR
DOING A DIRECT SURVEY IN INTERVIEWS OR OPEN-ENDED QUESTIONS TO UNDERSTAND THEIR CAUSE ON
WASTE MANAGEMENT. ANOTHER LIMITATION OF THE STUDY IS THE SAMPLE SIZE. THE SAMPLE SIZE IS ONLY
200. THE SAMPLE SIZE IS NOT SUFFICIENT TO KNOW THE OPINION OF THE PEOPLE. THE AGE GROUP ABOVE 50
IS VERY LOW WHICH. MAY AFFECT THE COMPLETENESS OF THE SURVEY. THE MOST OF THE RESPONSES ARE
UNDER GRADUATE. SO THE MAJORITY OF THE OPINIONS OF THE UNDER GRADUATE REFLECTED IN THIS STUDY.
