Montessori environment is the place where children learn how to greet each other, how to get along with each other, how to use manners in a social situation and how to response with peers. We have a lot of trouble in our classrooms because of lack of information about this. When a child comes to pre school between the age of 3 to 6 ,this is the perfect time for them to give presentations.
this is the perfect time for us to present grace and courtesy exercises because it will help them to build relationship, how to interact and Communicate appropriately with people.(indoor /outdoor) People get amazed by seeing children working quietly and respectfully .All of this Happens because we nurture child's need on right time.
You yourself have to be the right role model . You should be speaking in respectful way . Social grace and courtesy activities are things like how do we interrupt when teacher is talking to someone, how do you introduce yourself and there are many things which you can introduce under the heading of grace and courtesy
We can put your own twist on particular things which depend upon your culture . You could introduce the way you would like your children to be doing it in your country. Children are also developing the skills to interact with people and at the same time they become independent and also building self esteem. These activities also help to interact with the outside world.
These activities also help to interact outside the bigger world around them. It gives them confidence to be able to approach people , to talk to them , to interact in different ways and to avail the things they need . Grace and courtesy is very important part of child's education. It helps him to build the life long skills of communication and self control which helps them to become a part of society where they live.
