HORTICULTURE - Related to the study or activity of growing garden plants.

Beanpole - A long thin stick used to support a plant

BONSAI - A very small tree that is grown in a small container and is stopped from growing bigger by repeated cutting.

MOW - To cut plants, such as grass or wheat, that have long, thin stems and grow close together.

ORNAMENTAL - Any plant grown for its beauty or ornamental value, serving as esthetic rather than a useful purpose.

FERTILIZER - An organic or synthetic material added to the soil or the plant, that it is important for its nutrient for its value

MULCH - Any organic material such as wood chips, grass clippings, compost, straw or leaves that are spread over the soil surface around plant to hold its moisture

TRANSPLANTING - The moving of a plant from one growth medium to another

TILTH - Soil that is healthy and has good physical qualities
