First think about:
1. the story
2. the characters

Begin with the
introduction:
THE SCENE

It was a beautiful sunny morning
on a late summer day.
Past Simple and
Past continuous 2.
Four ten-year-old children,Tom,
Ben, Sarah and Lucy were on a
summer holiday and decided to go
fishing to the nearby small lake.
There were green hills and
mountains around it. They
were very excited. Birds
were singing and frogs were
croaking. The girls and boys were
enjoying themselves a lot.
TIME (when was it?)

WEATHER
(what was the weather like?)

PEOPLE (who was there?)
+ clothes, feelings
PLACE (where was it?)
(What did the place look like?)

ACTIONS (what were they
doing?)
(Use the Past Continuous)

SENSES (what could you
smell, hear, feel?)
After an hour or so, they
had a great idea. Since there
was a nice little boat nearby,
they agreed to take it and
started playing pirates on the
wild dangerous ocean.

3.

Develop a story:
What happened?
(put the events in
the chronological
order)
They travelled for days and finally
saw the land. The compass and the
old map helped them find the
secret place of the lost treasure
with lots of gold.

4.
But then some angry native people came
and they had to fight for the gold. After
a long fight, they quickly took the gold
and sailed back home.
Conclusion
write about people's
feelings, comments,
reactions, results

At the end of the day, the young
pirates were so tired of the long
voyage. But they were happy
because they had the gold. It was
the best adventure ever!
