6. Meaning of the Articles A Indefnite articles can be used with singular countable nouns when we talk about general things . Singular noun beginning with a consonant. CONSONANT :B, C, D, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, N, P, Q, R, S, T, V, X, Y,W ,Z. AN Indefnite articles can be used with singular countable nouns when we talk about general things . Singular noun beginning with a vowel. Vowel :   A, E, I, O, U. ‘H’ is slient. So the words start with sound of ‘OW’- an hour/an honest man THE The is called the definite articles as it is used to indicate something specific. Singular and plural nouns but the noun have to be specific.
