YEAR PLAN why ? For any activity to be done, prior planning is very important. A plan is a blueprint, which helps in the efficient economical and smooth conduct of any activity. Teaching is also an activity and to make it more effective, careful advance planning is necessary. Good teaching requires adequate and extensive planning so that objectives, the specification, the teaching strategy are employed. It is necessary for a science teacher to plan for a year.
YEAR PLAN It is a layout of instruction for the whole year. In year plan teacher has to divide the whole subject into various clusters of related facts. These facts have to be divided into meaningful based on psychological and logical principles.
Importance of Year Planning Concept of planning is objective-based. Its educational aims, a teacher has to Plan for the entire academic year. organization of the topics (YEAR/MONTH/WEEK/PERIODS) Systematic planning for effective teaching.

PREPARATION OF THE YEAR PLAN Simple concepts should precede the complex concepts. Known subject matter should precede unknown subject matter. Topics should be divided for each month followed by each week. The duration of the period should be fixed.
