2. We live as a child of God I. BY GRACE Religion always puts the burden on the flesh. Religion, I think, gets frustrated with the sins so very common in the world, or else they believe it is the responsibility of religion to restrain those sins. True godliness, to live like Christ, is only attainable through grace. It’s Christ living in us or it is not godliness at all.

THROUGH PATIENCE Godliness lives in the sure hope of Christ’s return for them and in the joyful anticipation of the very best reward.   Contentment is a second sort of joy. I would suggest that godliness with contentment is not only great gain, but it is the only sort of real godliness. ...is learning you can trust Christ in every situation; times of blessing and times of trial.

4. We live as a child of God III. IN CONSISTENCY Whole How could worshiping God in part be considered worshiping God at all? Attendance Godliness happens when we are present at the things that matter to God, paying careful attention to it, and actively serving in it.
