Battle of Surabaya
On October 25, 1945, Allied soldiers led by Brigadier General Mallaby.
Date October 27-30 1945, contact occurred weapons between Indonesian youth
with British troops. In this battle, the British troops could be beaten back and the
British army leader is killed, Brigadier General Mallaby. On November 9, 1945,
the British issued an ultimatum containing "all armed Indonesian leaders and
people must report and put their weapons in the designated place and
surrender by raising hands ".
However, the ultimatum was rejected by Indonesian side. On
November 10, 1945 there was a tremendous battle. The British troops attacked
Surabaya from land, sea and air.
This November 10 event is celebrated as Heroes' Day.

Duck
Ducks have special characteristics adjusted to the place
his stay. Ducks live on the land. A special characteristic of
the ducks for foraging in the form of beaks which is rather
long and wide on the edges.
The ducks forage in the water such as ponds, rivers, rice
fields, or lakes shallow. The duck feathers are coated with oil
so they don't get wet if exposed to water.
Ducks also have other characteristics, namely the
membranes on their legs. The membrane is used for
swimming.

Linggarjati Agreement
Indonesia's efforts are not only carried out through fighting, but also
by diplomatic channels, agreements, such as Linggarjati Agreement.
This agreement was carried out by the Indonesian parties and the
Dutch parties in West Java. The agreement was signed legally by both
parties on March 25, 1947.
The negotiation Results:
1. The Netherlands recognizes de facto the territory of
Indonesia, namely Java, Sumatra and Madura
2. The Netherlands left the territory of Indonesia no later than
January 1, 1949.
3. The Netherlands and Indonesia agree to form the Republic
of Indonesia United States (RIS)
4. In the form of ris, Indonesia must join in common wealth
