7 WONDERS OF GOD By Avery Wright, 7 Wonders of the World C lass
1. CREATION H e even made That Do you think that a nyone in the universe other than God could create the world? Well, I don’t think so. God is Amazing in all ways. He created the whole world in just 6 days! And all he had to do was speak, and the world appeared. Think about how many birds there are in just Michigan! There are so many, and that is just in Michigan! It can be very hard to wrap your mind around that, but in Genesis 1:1, it says: “God created the Heavens and the Earth.” The world was created by the God who is All-mighty, All- knowing, and All-Loving.
2. Creation of People God created People on the 6 th day. God said to Jesus in Genesis 1:26, “Let us make man in our own image.” and that is exactly what God did. God formed man out of dust, and breathed into his nostrils, and Adam became the first living human on earth! Then God decided that it was not good for Adam to be alone, so he took a rib from Adam while he was in a deep sleep and made Eve. It is so amazing how God made humans!
3. Creation of Animals God created animals on the 6 th day also, he just spoke, and they were created! Who else has the power and strength to do that? Only God. God had Adam name all of the animals. What a huge task! God loves animals, but not near as much as he loves us. In the Bible in says, “Not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it.” if God even cares for a sparrow, he defiantly cares for us.
4. The Red S ea Of all the miracles that God has done, to display his great power, the parting of the Red Sea really stands out to me. When God parted the Red S ea for the Israelites they were all so amazed, all Moses had to do was put his staff in the water, and then God parted it. It is also very amazing that the ground was dry! Once they walked through, the walls of the sea went back together.
5. The Birth of Jesus Who would ever think that a King, a Savior, would take such a humble position, and be born in a manger? Where the animals sleep, and eat! When we usually think of “King” or “Savior of the World” you automatically think of a rich, well dressed person, not a baby wrapped is swaddling clothes! But he took that position to show us how much he loves us.
6. The Crucifixion Don’t you think that it is an amazing sacrifice that Jesus/God made when He died on the cross? It says in the bible that Jesus was fully God yet he was fully man. So he felt all the pain on the cross that we would have felt. It is crazy to think that Jesus could have called a whole band of angels, or he could have just saved himself by saying so. I think that it is a huge sacrifice that Jesus/God made for us, because He loves you so much.
7. The Resurrection of Jesus It is amazing and crazy to think that Jesus was killed and then rose again! You or I could never do that. Now that’s for certain! He has amazing power. I once herd a pastor say (these are not his exact words, I added some stuff) something like, “the one who worked so hard to destroy Jesus, thought that he had won! But then Jesus rose from the grave, and Satan was, once again, defeated!”
Now here is something extra… There is one more wonder of God that I would like to talk about, one that I will not number but I will just talk about. It is the salvation that Jesus gave to us when He died and suffered on the cross for us. We cannot even count how many time we have sinned, and we cannot even think about all the patience that he grants us. Now, this wonder isn’t as exciting as some other ones, but it is one of the most important, because we need to know how much Jesus sacrificed for us and all of the love he has given to us.
