Abhay Bhutada Foundation
Supports Cultural Learning
Through Shivsrushti

Introduction
Shivsrushti is a historical theme park in Pune that celebrates the legacy of Chhatrapati
Shivaji Maharaj through interactive exhibits and immersive experiences. In a step
toward making this cultural space accessible to everyone, the Abhay Bhutada
Foundation has contributed Rs 51 lakhs to subsidise ticket prices. This initiative reflects
a broader mission to promote public access to meaningful educational spaces and
preserve Indiaʼs rich cultural heritage.

Foundation’s Contribution to Shivsrushti
To help more people experience Indian history firsthand, the Abhay Bhutada
Foundation donated Rs 51 lakhs to Shivsrushti, a theme park in Pune. This support
allows tickets to be priced at just Rs 50 from May 15 to July 15, 2025. The focus of this
initiative is to remove cost as a barrier for individuals who wish to explore the life and
legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Learning Through History
Shivsrushti is not just a visual attraction—it is an educational space that blends
traditional historical content with engaging, tech-supported formats. The park uses
immersive installations to guide visitors through the achievements of Shivaji Maharaj.
Covering a wide range of events and values, the park has been developed to engage
audiences of all ages in historical learning.

Highlights of Shivsrushti’s Features
The park offers carefully structured exhibits like Durg Vaibhav, which shows the
importance of fort design; Ranangan, which focuses on key battles; Shrimant Yogi,
which reveals Shivaji Maharajʼs personal and spiritual life; and Sinhasanadhishwar,
which showcases his governance model. Other features include a Tulja Bhavani temple
replica and a lake named Ganga Sagar, along with a gallery of rare historical paintings.

Central Role of Abhay Bhutada Foundation
The initiative is led by Abhay Bhutada, a
member of the Poonawalla Group, and the
founder of the Abhay Bhutada Foundation.
His Foundation has supported various
community-focused projects that align with
public learning. By making entry more
affordable, the Abhay Bhutada Foundation
ensures that cultural education is not
restricted by income or background.

Making Visits Easier and Safer
All tickets will be available exclusively through Shivsrushtiʼs official website. This system
allows visitors to plan ahead while helping the park manage footfall effectively. With the
support of the Abhay Bhutada Foundation, Shivsrushti is now positioned as an ideal
destination for educational trips, especially for school groups and cultural
organisations.

Long-Term Vision for Cultural Growth
The partnership reflects how private support can enhance public access to learning
experiences. The Abhay Bhutada Foundationʼs contribution builds a space where
people can connect with history in a meaningful and respectful environment. It
reinforces the idea that educational development includes more than just academic
study—it includes cultural awareness as well.

Conclusion
The support extended by the Abhay Bhutada Foundation has made it possible for a
wider audience to explore Shivsrushti at an affordable rate. The initiative is not just
about reduced ticket prices—it is about creating opportunities for communities to
connect with history. By encouraging public engagement with culture, the Abhay
Bhutada Foundation reinforces its commitment to inclusive learning and collective
growth.
