What is the meaning of "Everlasting Salvation"?
Salvation means to save from sin and from all of its woeful results, of which the "second death" is the ultimate. It is, therefore, a message of life, instead of death, a message of fullness of joy, instead of unutterable woe. This is in brief the "Great Salvation." The whole scheme is beyond our comprehension, yet we can joyfully and thankfully avail ourselves of all of its benefits.
What is the nature of the salvation which is assured to the Israel of God?
Isaiah 45:17
But Israel shall be saved in the Lord with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.

An Everlasting Salvation. The Grace
Of God Had Appeared To All
Question:
What is the necessity for the plan of salvation?
Answer: Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory
of God;
Question:
What natural and inevitable result would sin
bring upon the sinner, were it not for the means
of salvation provided?
Answer: Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:14, 15
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of
God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our
Lord.
And death and hell were cast into the lake of
fire. This is the second death. And whosoever
was not found written in the book of life was
cast into the lake of fire.
Question:
What is the meaning of "Everlasting Salvation"?
Answer: Matthew 1:21
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt
call his name Jesus: for he shall save his
people from their sins.
Note: Salvation means to save from sin and from all of
its woeful results, of which the "second death" is the
ultimate. It is, therefore, a message of life, instead of
death, a message of fullness of joy, instead of
unutterable woe. This is in brief the "Great Salvation."
The whole scheme is beyond our comprehension, yet
we can joyfully and thankfully avail ourselves of all of
its benefits.
Question:
By whom was this plan devised?
Answer: John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in
him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Question:
To how many is it proclaimed?
Answer: Titus 2:11, 13; Revelation 22:17
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation
hath appeared to all men; Looking for that
blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the
great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever
will, let him take the water of life freely.
Question:
What is God declared to be?
Answer: 1 John 4:8
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is
love.
Question:
What are those who hate God and reject the
plan of salvation, said to love?
Answer: Proverbs 8:35, 36
For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall
obtain favour of the Lord. But he that sinneth
against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that
hate me love death.
Question:
What is the nature of the salvation which is
assured to the Israel of God?
Answer: Isaiah 45:17
But Israel shall be saved in the Lord with an
everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed
nor confounded world without end.
Question:
What is this everlasting salvation able to do for
those who accept it?
Answer: Jude 24, 25
Now unto him that is able to keep you from
falling, and to present you faultless before the
presence of his glory with exceeding joy; To the
only wise God our Saviour, be glory and
majesty, dominion and power, both and ever.
Amen.
Question:
What warning is given to those who "neglect"
it?
Answer: Hebrews 2:3
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great
salvation; which at the first began to be spoken
by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by
them that heard him;
Question:
After so full provision for free salvation, what
will be the final experience of those who
"neglect" it?
Answer: Jeremiah 8:20
The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and
we are not saved.
Question:
When only is the "accepted time" for receiving
salvation?
Answer: 2 Corinthians 6:2; Hebrews 3:15
For he saith, I have heard thee in a time
accepted, and in the day of salvation have I
succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted
time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice,
harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Question:
When is it to be received in all its fullness?
Answer: Hebrews 9:28; 1 Peter 1:7-9
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many;
and unto them that look for him shall he appear the
second time without sin unto salvation.
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious
than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire,
might be found unto praise and honour and glory at
the appearing of Jesus Christ; Whom having not seen,
ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet
believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of
glory; Receiving the end of your faith, even the
salvation of your souls.
Question:
Who is the head of the plan of eternal salvation
for all?
Answer: Psalm 68:19, 20; John 3:16. Note 1
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with
benefits, even the God of our salvation.
Selah. He that is our God is the God of
salvation; and unto God the Lord belong the
issues from death.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in
him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Question:
What should this fact cause His children to do?
Answer: Psalm 68:3, 4; Psalm 67:5
But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice
before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.
Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol
him that rideth upon the heavens by his
name Jah, and rejoice before him.
Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the
people praise thee.
Question:
What does the Lord desire to have proclaimed
to the people?
Answer: Isaiah 40:9
Behold, the Lord God will come with strong
hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his
reward is with him, and his work before him.
Question:
Wherein is this salvation for all revealed?
Answer: Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:
for it is the power of God unto salvation to every
one that believeth;
Question:
How only can the righteousness of the Gospel
be appropriated?
Answer: Romans 1:17
For therein is the righteousness of God
revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The
just shall live by faith.
Question:
In what language does the Psalmist describe
the helplessness of man?
Answer: Psalm 146: 3, 4
Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of
man, in whom there is no help. His breath
goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that
very day his thoughts perish.
Question:
From the standpoint of His great power and
majesty, how does the Lord regard the
inhabitants of earth?
Answer: Isaiah 40:15, 17, 22; Daniel 4:35
Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are
counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he
taketh up the isles as a very little thing. All nations
before him are as nothing; and they are counted to
him less than nothing, and vanity. It is he that sitteth
upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof
are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens
as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell
in;
And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as
nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army
of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth:
and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What
doest thou?
Question:
How does He regard individuals among the
nations who fear Him?
Answer: Isaiah 66:2; Isaiah 57:15; Acts 10:35
For all those things hath mine hand made, and all
those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man
will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite
spirit, and trembleth at my word. For thus saith the
high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose
name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with
him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to
revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart
of the contrite ones.
But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh
righteousness, is accepted with him.
Question:
What does God ask the children of men to do?
Answer: Isaiah 55:6, 7; Ezekiel 33:11
Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call
ye upon him while he is near; Let the wicked
forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his
thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and
he will have mercy upon him; and to our God,
for he will abundantly pardon.
Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I
have no pleasure in the death of the wicked;
but that the wicked turn from his way and live:
turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will
ye die, O house of Israel?
Question:
To what is His pity likened?
Answer: Psalm 103:13
Like as a father pitieth his children, so
the Lord pitieth them that fear him.
Question:
What assurance does He give to those who
trust Him?
Answer: Isaiah 41:10, 13; Isaiah 40:29-31
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for
I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help
thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my
righteousness. For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right
hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no
might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall
faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly
fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their
strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk,
and not faint.
Question:
When is our salvation to be fully revealed ?
How are we kept that we may receive it?
Answer: 1 Peter 1:5
Who are kept by the power of God through faith
unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last
time.
Question:
Knowing that we are living in the last days, what
is it high time to do? Why?
Answer: Romans 13:11, 12
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high
time to awake out of sleep: for now is our
salvation nearer than when we believed. The
night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us
therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let
us put on the armour of light.
Question:
To whom will the redeemed of all nations
ascribe their everlasting salvation?
Answer: Revelation 7:9, 10
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude,
which no man could number, of all nations, and
kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood
before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed
with white robes, and palms in their hands; And
cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our
God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the
Lamb.
Question:
With what will the Lord adorn the meek?
Answer: Psalm 149:4
For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he
will beautify the meek with salvation.
Question:
What ought men, therefore to do?
Answer: Psalm 107:8
Oh that men would praise the Lord for his
goodness, and for his wonderful works to the
children of men!
Thank you.
