Course Description:-
This course is designed to assist students in developing expertise and in depth understanding in the field of Pediatric Nursing. It will help students
to develop advanced skills for nursing intervention in various pediatric medical and surgical conditions. It will enable the student to function as
pediatric nurse practitioner/specialist. It will further enable the student to function as educator, manager, and researcher in the field of Paediatric
nursing.
General Objective:
Upon completion of this course, the students shall able to:
1.Assess the growth and development of a child at difference ages.
2.Describe nutritional needs of difference age groups of children
3.Provide care to sick children during their common illness
4.Describe school health programme
5.Describe rights of the children
6.Educate mothers and family members as per need of their children
