RATIONALE The Division Assessment of Learning is administered to all Grades 1 to 10 learners for School Year 202 3 -202 4 in all private and public schools in SDO Siargao . The assessment tool intends to determine the division learning performance and will serve as basis in developing effective interventions to address the common least-learned competencies to ensure the attainment of target performance in the DEDP viz-a-viz BEDP particularly in the pillars Quality and Equity .

GUIDELINES ON THE ADMINISTRATION OF AOL
ASSESSMENT TOOL
ASSESSMENT TOOL The AOL has two types of modalities: 1. O nline computer-based test through DepEd LMS Moodle Platform for Grade 4 to 10 learners. 2. Paper-pencil test for Grade 1 to 3 learners The test shall cover learning areas in English , Science , Filipino , and Mathematics , wherein test items measure varying levels of skills and competencies in a multiple-choice format .
ENROLLMENT OF USERS IN THE MOODLE PLATFORM
ENROLLMENT OF USERS All enrolled learners from all private and public schools in SDO Siargao should activate/access their DepEd LMS accounts using their official DepEd Microsoft accounts for the conduct of the AOL . School Testing and IT Coordinator should ensure that the learners have access to their DepEd Microsoft account and have accessed the DepEd LMS platform before the test administration.
ENROLLMENT OF USERS STC and SITC should prepare an Excel file containing the DepEd-issued email address(activated) of the learners for enrollment by the Course Registrar, Mr. Carlo Borris S. Oraliza and Miss Louwyn G. Espejon . First Column: Email address Second Column: School Name (it should be uniform)
ENROLLMENT OF USERS The Excel file containing the list of activated DepEd-issued email address of the learners must be uploaded to the given link posted in the GC.
ENROLLMENT OF USERS DITO and the course Registrar should enroll the learners to their respective test per grade level and Division. The file for uploading should be in CSV . First Column: Email address Second Column: Division
To enroll the learners, DITO should first access the course they need to enroll. Then, click ‘Participants’ in the side panel.
Click the settings icon on the right-side of the screen. Then click ‘Bulk enrolments’.
Upload the list of learners (in CSV file), then change the ‘First column contains’ to Email address. Click ‘Enrol them to my course’.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF THE TESTING CENTERS
TESTING CENTERS With an uninterrupted power supply, preferably with a standby power generator With computer laboratories that can accommodate 20-40 learners per room With 20-40 functional desktops/laptops per computer lab With at least 50 mbps dedicated internet connection Note: All available working desktop/laptop units must be utilized.
COMPUTER LABORATORIES/TESTING ROOMS Preferably, the computer laboratories to be used as testing rooms are in a quiet and unpopulated area in the school and with a nearby restroom for student use. These should be conducive for the testing activity (e.g., spacious, well-lighted, and ventilated) In case the computer laboratory cannot accommodate 40 computers and learners, 2 adjacent rooms may be used as testing rooms. One room shall serve as a holding area for the test takers to prepare them before entering the testing rooms. The Class Adviser should be stationed in the room.
TESTING CENTER Testing schedule should be posted outside the holding area or testing room. List of learners per class or batch in alphabetical order regardless of sex must be given to the test administrators as basis for the seating arrangement. The school is requested to provide an adequate number of blank sheets of paper for computation purposes only. To ensure the confidentiality of test items and minimize contact between test takers, the schools should prepare barrier/divider between computer units in laboratory or must strictly observe proper distancing Note: An improvised barrier/divider may be used as alternative.

OTHER WAYS AND MEANS For school with unstable to zero internet connectivity will be provided to be facilitated and managed by the DITO, John Eric A. Jabines . Schools with scarcity to zero computer devices may borrow from other schools as long as they are done with the assessment. Seek assistance from private schools with internet and computer facilities through the initiative of the SDO. Tap stakeholders for support and other potential service providers.

CRITERIA IN SELECTING THE TEST ADMINISTRATOR The AOL test administrators must meet the following requirements: at least a personnel or Teacher I to Master Teacher from the SDO, must be external from the school or must not be the teachers of the participating learners, and computer-literate and has a strong IT background.

Using the class list, the last name of the learners should be arranged alphabetically per batch regardless of sex. SCHEDULE OF TEST ADMINISTRATION Total time allotment for one batch of test takers is two hours and ten minutes . There will be 10 working days administration for the AOL pre-test ( November 20-29, 2023 ) and another for the post-test ( May 2024 ). TEST ADMINISTRATION PROCEDURE See to it that the seats are arranged properly, with provision of sturdy barriers in between computer units to prevent any attempt on their part to communicate with each other, the date and time in the computer units are correct. Ensure that the learners already have activated and accessed their DepEd Microsoft Accounts. Ensure that Moodle platform is already running . before the students go to their respective seats.
TEST ADMINISTRATION PROCEDURE Students should be advised to put their cellphones and other electronic devices inside their bags and place these belongings in the holding area. Cellphones, calculators, smart watches, and other forms of electronic devices shall not be allowed during the test. Make sure all the learners have/know their log-in credentials. Other procedures will be discussed by test administrator during the test proper.
HEALTH AND SAFETY Provision of alcohol or any disinfectant should be present at the entrance of computer laboratory.
Confidentiality of the Assessment
The following acts are deemed as violation/infractions and shall be avoided to commit by all those involved in the assessment activity 1. Reading of test booklets other than by the examinee 2. Supplying answers to examinees 3 . Cheating 4. Plagiarizing Loss of test booklets Photocopying of test booklets 7. Capturing test items through electronic gadgets 8. Distribution and posting of photos of the test booklet in any form of media 9. Opening the test materials prior to testing schedule Late submission of test booklets and/or answer sheets Tampering of examinees’ answer sheets 12. Infringement of copyright 13. Allowing impostors and substitute examinees 14. Misrepresentation with regard to age, residence, and status 15. Failure to closely monitor test procedures resulting in test irregularities
Any or all of the sanctions will be imposed on the aforementioned violations committed by the following Examinees First and second offenses: reprimand Third offense: Cancellation of test/ invalidation of test results The degree of violation and corresponding sanction shall be determined by the Division Testing Coordinator. Testing Personnel Suspension of salaries and incentives/benefits of those concerned for one to three months Work suspension In the case of infringement of copyright, legal remedies will be considered. The degree of violation and corresponding sanction shall be determined by the Schools Division Superintendent.
