EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Digitalization of HR Processes in BHEL involves transformation from traditional, paper- based HR process to a modern, technology-driven approach. This transformation aims to enhance efficiency, transparency, and employee satisfaction. Implementing an online onboarding process to streamline the hiring of new employees, reducing paperwork and expediting the orientation process. Providing employees with web-based self -service tools for accessing HR information, submitting leave request, and managing personal details. Introducing a digital platform for setting goals, tracking performance, and conducting employee appraisals, fostering more regular and data -driven feedback. Utilizing e-learning platforms and digital resources to enhance employee skills and competencies, ensuring a more skilled workforce. Leveraging data analytics to gain insights into HR trends, employee engagement, and workforce planning, leading to more informed decision making. Implementing automation for task such as payroll processing, attendance tracking, and compliance, reducing manual workloads and minimizing errors. Focusing on data security and compliance with data protection regulations to protect employee information. Ensuring that HR processes are accessible via mobile devices to accommodate a more agile and remote workforce.

COMPANY INTRODUCTION BHEL is an integrated power plant equipment manufacturer and one of the largest engineering and manufacturing companies in India in terms of turnover. BHEL is one of the nine large public sector undertakings known as Maharatna Company. BHEL was found in 1950s. The operation is organized in three business sectors; Power, Industry- including Transmission, Transportation, Telecommunication & Renewable Energy and overseas business. Today BHEL has a wide-spread network comprising 16manufacturing units, 8 service centers, 4 power sector regional centers, 18 regional offices, and a large no. of project sites spreads all over India and abroad. BHEL is one of the largest exporters of engineering products and services from India. OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT To study the process and to understand the importance of Digitization of HR in BHEL that supports the efforts of the organizational growth . Enhance the efficiency of HR Improve transparency and accessibility of HR Implement digital onboarding processes to expedite and simplify the hiring and onboarding of new employees Reduce HR operational cots by automating processes, eliminating errors, and optimizing resource allocation Ensure compliance with data protection regulations Enhancing the overall employees experience by providing users -friendly digital tools for tasks

INTERNSHIP ROLE RECRUITMENT EMPLOYEE ONBOARDING MAINTAINING HR RECORDS HANDLING EMPLOYEE QUERIES PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT SKILLS

RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Recruitment and Onboarding: Implementing applicant tracking systems (ATS)to manage job applications and digitizing the onboarding process to reduce paperwork. 2. Employee Self -Service (ESS)Portals: Providing employees with online portals to access and update their personal information, request leaves, and access important document. 3. Compliance And Reporting: Ensuring HR processes comply with legal requirements and generating digital reports as needed. 4. Payroll And Benefits Administration: Automating payroll processing and managing benefits through HR software

\ 5. Communication: Using digital tools for internal HR communication, like newsletters or announcements. 6. Learning And Development : Utilizing e- learning platforms for training and development programs. 7. Performance Management: Using digital tools for performance appraisals and feedback, including 360-degree feedback system.  

CONCLUSION The summer internship training at BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited), Varanasi is an experience worth having. I learnt about the task that is performed by the HR on daily basis and also about the role of digitalization in the work of HR. Digitalization has transformed HR by streamlining processes, enhancing data-driven decision making, and enabling HR professionals to play a more strategic role in organizational success. During the course of my HR internship ,I had the opportunity to immerse myself in various factors of human resource and contribute to meaningful initiatives within the department. I am confident that the skills and insights gained will serve as a solid foundation for my future endeavors in the field of HR.
