Introduction This is a strategy where the learners acquire knowledge through planning and execution of practical project. Learners are challenges by working on real-life problem for they themselves decide how to solve the problem and decide what activities to do. This method too develop the feelings of cooperation and group work which will eventually help them develop their social norms and social values . 3
Types of Project-Based Method 1. Individual Project This activity is done individually 2. Group Project- Group of pupils in the class are given definite activity or task to do. 3. Simple Project- Student’s complete only one work at a time. 4. Complex Project More than one work with various activities and dimensions. 4
According to Kilpatrick- Kaun (2014) projects can be classified to: Constructive Projects Practical or physical task such as construction of article, making a model and playing drama are done in this type of project. Aesthetic Project Appreciation powers of learners are developed through musical programs, beatification of things, appreciation of poems and so on. 5
Problematic Project Develops the problem solving capacity of learners through their experiences. It is based on the cognitive domain. Drill Project It develops mastery of the skill and knowledge of the learner. It increases the work efficacy and capacity of learner. 6
