POST TRAUMATIC ELBOW DEFORMITY. Carrying angle: The outward angle between long axis arm and fore arm. 5 to 15degrees. BEST WAY—COMPARE NORMAL SIDE
Baumann’s angle.
Cubitus varus /Gunstock deformity: Definition: Decreased in the carrying angle, due to deformity at the elbow joint. Etiology: Trauma--- Malunited supracondylar fracture. Others: epiphyseal dysplasia. Clinical findings: History of fracture around elbow. Deformity along elbow region. Ulnar nerve deficit/Tardy ulnar nerve palsy. Shoulder pain Elbow discomfort. Tilted posterior triangle ** Measure deformity with Goniometer.

Diagnosis: X ray— measure—Baumann’s angle. Ulno humeral line. Treatment: Corrective osteotomy— French Osteotomy.

Etiology: Lateral condyle fracture—Non union/avascular necrosis Radial head fracture Physeal dysplasia Clinical findings: Trauma history/fracture Deformity—progressively increasing. Pain ..dull pain Ulnar nerve palsy– Tardy ulnar nerve palsy.
Diagnosis: xray --- non union of lateral condyle. Treatment: Corrective osteotomy ORIF—IF with bone graft Anterior transposition of Ulnar nerve .
