The Importance Of Journey Airports In The United States
For many people, a memory is something they hold within their brains for the
entirety of their life. These memories could be from anytime. Maybe they
remember a kickball game from the summer before second grade or a funny fall
that happened at a wedding the previous winter; either way, they have a memory.
Some people do not realize, however, that memories can be taken away from
someone and are never to return. There are over 5,400,000 people in the United
States alone that suffers from Alzheimer s disease or another form of dementia
(@alzassociation). Those are diseases that impair cognitive function which results in
loss of memory. Many people with who suffer from a form of dementia eventually
reside in a Harbor (memory) Care community that specializes in the care of those
patients. In some communities, they use what are called journey stations to help
build connections between patients and what may be left of a related memory.
Journey stations, when they help make those connections, create a better quality of
life for patients as they are able to grasp onto some of their more precious memories
that they can relive with their visiting friends and family.

What Is The Story Of A Story
Many, many bitter faces were scrutinising me; it looked as though the whole town
was there, observing every shackled step I took. I would never harm one of the
Smiths, especially Elizabeth, she was like the daughter I never had. I had feared
the worst when I found her. When I rushed to her aid my fears became reality. Her
cold body, lying in the soft, blood stained grass. Her lifeless eyes staring blankly into
mine.
Perhaps hundreds of people glaring right at me, as I marched slowly towards the
front. The courtroom scared me; I felt isolated. It wasn t the same feeling I got when
I went for a morning walk around town with plenty of white folks acting as if I was
an alien. Looking at me in disgust, sometimes they would even shout racist ... Show

A man with an apple like frame slowly approached me, Were you the house slave for
the Smiths? he asked. I slowly nodded. The man roared, Can you speak boy?
Yes sir, I can talk.
Then he grumbled, Tell us what happened on the night of little Elizabeth s death. I
answered with great caution including details about what had happened that dreadful
night, although it did not seem like he nor the large audience believed me.
As I returned to my seat, the man stayed on the floor and stated, A good dog is like
a nigger. You can get to know it, maybe some get to love it, it has no particular use
but you keep it because you think it loves you. Not too long ago a family dog
killed the son of the same family. That dog mauled that boy for no reason. Just got
it in his head one day. Same as Marcellus, he may seem like a gentle giant, however
little Elizabeth stays raped and murdered. No criminal history, just the idea in his
head one day to kill.
Jessica, the mother of the Smith family, who was sitting in the front row of the seats,
was sobbing uncontrollably. If it was possible, the crowd became even more hostile
than before.
When Eugene took the floor for one last fight for justice, he addressed the crowd
with great emotion, Some negroes lie, some are immoral, some negro men are not to
be trusted around women black and white. But this is a truth that

The Special Inspector General For Afghanistan
Reconstruction
The iconic American sitcom Seinfeld has this episode where George Costanza, the
show s lovable loser, mopes to friend Jerry Seinfeld: My life is the opposite of
everything I want it to be. Every instinct I have..it s all been wrong. Jerry deadpans
back, If every instinct you have is wrong, then the opposite would have to be right.
Washington will eventually have its own George Costanza moment on Afghanistan,
and the futility of an open ended war. The only question is how many more dead
soldiers and civilians will it take to have this epiphany.
The Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction s (SIGAR) quarterly
report for January is a bleak read. At close to 30%, not only do the Taliban hold more
Afghan territory than any time after the 2001 invasion, but The insurgency is
spreading (Afghan forces) thin, threatening rural districts in one area while carrying
out ambitious attacks in more populated centers. The Taliban trifecta of high stakes
attacks in late 2015 adds weight to SIGAR s assessment. Moreover, even before
militants briefly overran Kunduz, Kandahar airport and besieged Sangin district, UN
figures revealed a 19% increase in security incidents between August and October.
US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, however, insists Washington will stick with
Afghanistan, but not just in 2016, that s 2017 and beyond, Sectors of the US media
also report that military commanders are pressing President Barack Obama to shelve
the troop drawdown until

Hometown Inventory Paper Mechanicville is a city, one of the smallest cities in the
area by state actually. It is located in Saratoga County, New York. More specifically,
The city is located on the eastern border of Saratoga County and is north of Albany,
the state capital. Mechanicville borders the towns of Stillwater (of which it was once
a part) and Halfmoon in the county, and the town of Schaghticoke, in Rensselaer
County. Many people describe Mechanicville as a boring, dull, nothing to do town,
but in reality Mechanicville has a very important history, and in my personal opinion
is a great place to live.
Today in Mechanicville, we celebrate the annual Family Day at Tallmadge Park
located ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All the residents gather in Tallmadge park at the beginning of the day, until night
falls. It starts with a breakfast from the chamber of commerce and also mcdonalds,
and a flag raising ceremony. There are different bands that play in the band stand,
and many different tents where the locals can sell things, in a yard sale type way.
There are also rides, and many trailers that sell fair food in them such as cotton
candy, corn dogs, and fried dough. At night usually around ten, there is the annual
firework show, which lasts about a half hour. It is one of the days where
Mechanicville residents can get out and see each other and socialize with old
friends, or a great activity to bring your kids to on a hot summer July day.
Another activity they have here in Mechanicville is something called the duck derby.
Many residents of Mechanicville gather down at the docks, behind the police station
and race rubber ducks down the Hudson River and the ones that finish first get some
sort of prize. A few years ago at one of the duck derby s a local high school teacher
ended up creating a flash mob with a bunch of her students, something that no one
was expecting to happen. At the duck derby there is also food, and music and
usually a lot of people celebrate it, because that also takes place in the

John Locke And George Berkeley
John Locke and George Berkeley are two respected individuals in the world of
philosophy. These two brilliant minds impacted the philosophy and brought new
ideas that are worth noting. John Locke is famously known for his belief in tabula
rasa or blank slate. He believed that knowledge was not innate in humans at born,
but it is learned experiences that give us knowledge. Example, a psychiatrist
understands how to help a client with this problem that may be new to the
psychiatrist because he/she would use what they ve learned before to help that
client. This example shows that we learn things through experiences and gain
knowledge through our past experiences. Another example plays on Locke s theory
that are just objects that we add elements to it. It s separated in two terms; primary
and secondary. Primary refers more to just the shape, the weight, or location and
secondary refers to the color, taste, smell, and other qualities that give us a sensation.
Locke was also known for his belief in a concept he called, substance. This concept
refers to matter and mind. Example, a physical object such as a car would be
considered a matter, you can also think of it as something that takes up space and that
is tenable. Now, thinking about how that car is operated and if it something useful in
the future then that is what he called the mind. Also, the cognitive process was not
tenable and was not mind then it would be considered mind. Berkeley in the other
hand completely disapproved

Piglets Decomposition
Decomposition of a corpse is a continual process that can take from weeks and
possibly even years, depending on the environment. To illustrate the process of
decomposition, we use the piglets as the model corpse. We had piglets that were in
all dissimilar states to watch each decompose differently. In this essay, I will explain
to you the exploit I had while examining the decompositionof piglets.
It is safe to say that we all are at curiosity to which piglets decomposes the quickest.
We had a piglet that was in its natural state, one that was burnt, one that is buried, and
one that is buried in a wooden box. The piglet that was in its natural state
decomposed the rapidly than each and every other piglet. The piglet that was in its
natural ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The rate of decay increases, and the smells and body fluids that begin to release
from the body attract more blowflies, flesh flies, beetles, and mites. When maggots
become part of the picture, they feed off of the decaying flesh.
The succession of insects on a suspended piglet and piglet on the ground and
cement are engrossing. From the moment of death flies are attracted to bodies.
Without the normal defenses of a living animal, blowflies and house flies are able to
lay eggs around wounds and natural body openings. These eggs hatch and move into
the body. Wasps begin to get attracted to the decomposing piglet in the air and they
lay their eggs inside maggots. Animals can feed on hair like moths.
The outcome of a decomposing piglet on the soil underneath changes. The
moisture, temperature and the nature of soil are key factors in the rate of decay.
While the piglet is decomposing on the soil, the grass beneath begins to die. It gets
moisture of the decomposing piglet but it has no sunlight to grow. The grass then
begins to grow around the piglet. When you look at a rock that has been misplaced
in your yard, you will see grass beginning to form around it and over top of it. When
you move the rock, you ll see just wet soil and insects underneath. That is what a
decomposing piglet in the grass

Cinderella Man Depression
The Man Who Left His Glass Slipper in the Ring Cinderella Man was a movie
based on a true story during The Great Depression. The Great Depression began
when the stock market crashed in October of 1929. During this time people lost
their jobs, homes, families, and their basic way of living. Banks collapsed, and the
drought killed most of the crops. In the film the setting is New York about four
years after the Depression set in. James J. Braddock gets a call to adventure when
he realizes that he will not be able to provide for his family without a job. Jim
doesn t have a boxing job because he lost his license after breaking his wrist several
times and started to lose matches. The director shows many items that Jim lost
after the depression set in. Since Jim is without a boxing job he attempts to get a
job at the dock. This is an example of Crossing the First Threshold, because Jim has a
bad hand and does not get picked every day to work. Braddock reaches the Belly of
the Whale when his... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

disbelief when Jim wins his first fight back. Jim finally reaches the goal that he was
set out to accomplish when he wins multiple fights and gets his boxing license back.
Since getting his license back was Jim s number one goal, this accomplishment fits
under the Ultimate Boon category. Now that Jim has his license he can now win
fights and make money for his family. The Ultimate Boon completes the initiation

Florence Nightingale
Nursing is a job we would consider a very selfless job. It s a job that requires you
to be at your best at every moment because someone s life or well being is
depending on you. Long shifts may get you tired, you may not have a lunch break
because you are working non stop but you could care less. All you care about is
impacting the lives of others. You are constantly putting others before yourself.
Florence Nightingale was a remarkable woman who did exactly this. Nightingale was
born in Florence Italy, on May 12, 1820. She discovered she wanted to be a nurse
early in her lifetime because as a teenager in 1837 she received a divine calling to do

She would go check on soldiers at all hours of the night going through the dark
halls carrying a lamp. The soldiers eventually started giving her nicknames like The
Lady with the Lamp and The Angel of the Crimean . Florence advised the army on
sanitary conditions in India during and after the Indian Mutiny in 1857. This led to
the establishment of a Sanitary Department within the Indian government. Her
reports and testimony to others on sanitary conditions of the army led to a lot of
improvements that also led to opening an army medical college in 1861. Florence
also intended to write a book to help others on practicing how to become a nurse
and how nursing can be used in future preferences. Aside from all of that Florence
helped establish many nursing organizations throughout her whole life. Doing
what she did for others she won awards for the work that she did. In the 1870 s, she
mentored Linda Richards, the first professionally trained American nurse, who
established nurse training programs in the U.S. and Japan. In late 1954 s,
Nightingale Received a letter from the secretary of War Sidney Herbert, asking for
her to organize a corps of nurses to aid to the sick and fallen soldiers. She gathered 34
nurses and sailed with them to Crimea a few days after.
Florence Nightingale was an influential figure in the development of modern
nursing. When Florence Nightingale was employed no uniforms were created
during the Crimean War. Both nursing role and education were first defined by
Florence Nightingale she was honored in many ways before she had past away. On
May 10, 1910, she was awarded the badge of honour of the Norwegian Red Cross
Society. Three days later Florence Nightingale died in London on August 13, 1910.
She died at the age of 90 and buried in her family s

Essay on Censorship in the Music Industry
Censorship in the Music Industry
Censorship in the music industry can be divided into two categories involving new
music technology and music products. In the United States, the issue of censorship
doesn t necessarily concern music products but rather new music technology. The
music industry has become increasingly concerned with the online peer to peer
services like Kazaa and Morpheus using the MP3 format or motion pictures expert
group which allows users to download music free and fast (Cloonan, 2003). In
almost every other part of the world, music is censored someway or another usually
by a country s government, religious leaders, or individual broadcasters who are
financed by their government (Cloonan, 2003). For example, ... Show more content

This particular type of censorship occurred in South Korea in 1997 when the state
radio station KBS banned teen pop music due to the clothing style the entertainers
wore (Cloonan,2003). A more recent event of censorship occurred in Morocco in
March 2003 when 14 heavy metal fans between the ages of 22 and 35 were
convicted and jailed for acts capable of undermining the faith of a Muslim and
possessing objects which infringe morals (Index Online, 2003). All were sentenced
between 1 to 12 months in jail.
The People s Republic of China is one of the most heavily regulated countries
involving music censorship. The Chinese record industry is controlled by the state
government through the publishing houses which are also owned by the state
(Cloonan, 2003). Essentially, publishers decide to release a music product, arrange
the duplication of the master tape, and distribute it throughout the country. Since all
the music appears on the market through a publishing house, the government has the
power to censor music which they deem to be sensitive (Cloonan, 2003). All music
is reviewed by the government in order to check compliance with Article 102 of the
Chinese criminal law which states that it is an offence for any person to confuse
right and wrong, to poison people s minds, to incite the masses and create chaos, to
undermine socialist revolution and construction, and to achieve the final goal of
overthrowing the people s

Space Race Research Paper
How did the Space race improve society with their advanced technology? We know
they had advanced in technology that wasn t here 50 years ago, but, how did
technology built for space go in our everyday lives? One of the most obvious
technologies that we created was Satellite Tv, this is one of the tech breakthroughs
that we couldn t think of a life without to keep us entertained. The same goes for
computers and laptops. The Space Race made satellites a possibility when they were
used to communicate with astronauts before soon they made satellite dishes. NASA
invented many pieces of technologythat both benefited them in space and people at

the computer.
Nasa created many things including, Smoke Carbon dioxide detectors, developed
to test out two space stations in the 1900 s to detect any high level toxins and fire
on board the stations. Since the smoke particles are larger in space than the ones on
Earth, they MUST put them out before they turn into fire otherwise it ll be too late.

Despite that, 3D Graphics and Virtual reality are very important to NASA to
visualize space environments otherwise they would be sending Astronauts blindly.
Along with 3D graphics, Satellites are one of the most important and most used
pieces of technology used for NASA. It was used for communicating with Astronauts
in space and like how they were used to transmit radio waves, to communicate with
people in Space Stations. Satellite telescopes have been critical to understanding
phenomena like pulsars and black holes as well as measuring the age of the universe.

The Sociological Imagination, By Martin Luther King
Martin Luther King wrote the following in a campus newspaper, the Maroon Tiger
1947,
It seems to me that education has a two fold function in the life of man and in
society: the one is utility and the other is culture (King, 1947).
This essay will analyse via the sociological imagination, whose interests does
schooling serve and why? In addressing this question, one needs to discuss why is an
education so valued in Australia today.
Education has had three phases of development according, to Van Krieken, 2013.
Each phase being associated with a set of beliefs about the nature and purpose of
education. Firstly, the advent of the modern system from the mid 19th century to
World War II, influenced chiefly by liberal humanist ideas. Secondly, post World
War II expansion into the late 1970 s was influenced by social democratic beliefs.
Finally, the increased marketisation of education which has been influenced by
neoliberalism since the 1980 s (Krieken, 2013, p. 149).
In Australia, post World War II the federal government began to take an increasing
role over the states in education, as states were finding it increasingly difficult to fund
higher education due in part to the baby boom post World War II and the requirement
for more university trained teachers and by the late 1950 s. Furthermore, politically,
grouwing desire among politicians to enable more potential students to enroll in
higher education(Krieken, 2013, p. 150).
Moving forward in time, a series of government

Differences Between Tweedledland And Alice In Wonderland
The original book of Alice s Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll, has many
differences within the plot when compared to the 1951 Disney movie adaptation. One
of the differences between these two adaptations is that in the book, Tweedledee and
Tweedledum never appear or are mentioned. In the movie, Tweedledee and
Tweedledum are included. This makes the reader/audience understand the text
differently because there are more characters incorporated into the movie that change
the plot. Adding new characters to the movie change the significance of those
characters, because they add new dialogue and actions to the plot. Another plot
difference between these two adaptations has to do with the caterpillar. In the book,
the caterpillar crawls away from Alice. However, the caterpillar turns into a butterfly
in the movie. This is significant to the plot in both the movie and book, because they
symbolize different things. The caterpillar turning into a butterfly signifies how much
he has grown throughout the movie, and it s finally his time to leave. The caterpillar
turning into a butterfly in the movie adds more significance to the plot, because he is
transforming into something new. Whereas, the book simply has the caterpillar crawl
away. One of the last differences between these two adaptations is that in the movie
no one could see the cat, except for Alice. This makes the audience understand the
text differently, because the cat has more of a specific meaning to the movie.

Media s Influence On The Media
Being able to understand all sides of the story is very important when trying to
pick a side. Today, news broadcasters are notorious for providing everyone with bias
news. There are six main news sources which are called the Power House
Networks; Fox news, ABC News, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, and NBC, but unfortunately
each one pushes a different political view. A good example is a current event about
the health care plan by which each powerhouse network pushes their political view.
Newsviewers tend to be oblivious when it comes to biasin the media because they
would rather hear what they believe is right. There are many ways to find truth in
journalism that everyone needs to be aware of for example, going to more than one
source and conducting a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most if not all of media is biased. A one sided world would be an example of a
utopia or a perfect world and in this case people are talking about a perfect society
and media. Media is meant to entertain and feed to all different types of people. For
example, in politics there are people that are in the left and right wing.
Scholastic.com states that, the Left winged people are liberal, moderates are in the
middle, and conservatives are on the right. When it comes to the media of course
people are going to want to tune into what appeals more to themselves. So if
someone were to be a liberal, the person would want to watch a network that would
be more appealing to their preferences and beliefs, to get their views validated.
Usually, media is controlled by one sided thoughts and people. When listening to
the media people are more than likely hearing only one side of the full story. The
media is filtered through prisms that are one sided because they want it to only
come out one way, the network s way. Bernie Goldberg states, you have a whole
bunch of people who think alike. It s groupthink. Bernie also says And that s the
problem with bias, not a conspiracy but too many like minded people making the
decisions on what the audience and the readers gets to read and see. The media can
also scare you into believing them. For instance, they tend to say that everything
around us is lethal and is going to harm us. We will forever be in the hands

Happy Land Social Club Fire Case Study
March 25, 1990, Happy Land Social Club in the Bronx, New York, was reported of
taking away 87 people lives caused by a fire. These people were burned and
asphyxiated to death with minutes. The fire was stated that it was started by a
man named Julio Gonzalez. Happy Land Social Club was located off East Tremont
Avenue. This social club was ordered to be close for lack of fire hazard and
building codes infractions on top of not having a legal state liquor license but
regardless the club still operated. Julio Gonzalez had argued with a former
girlfriend, who worked at the club. He was thrown out the club by the bouncer, but
Mr. Gonzalez returned back with gasoline to set the club fire. The flames grew so
rapidly that it cut off the only door that

Black Humor In Kurt Vonnegut s Breakfast Of Champions

Vonnegut s that he wrote it in 1972, as he himself said this is for his very own
fiftieth birthday. It is Vonnegut s own parody of himself and his works on how his
mind views things as well. In this dark comedy the first person report forms and
describes the man who has been in prison three times in and out of the old prison as
a inmate and confronted with the great depression and World War II, the Korean
War, McCarthyism, Watergate and with black humor the satire of social reality has a
special social effect overall in this novel.
Black humor is something that many people stray from and often times do not want
to make contact for it is a sensitive topic. Black comedy is a kind of absurd humor,
tragedy and mixed with the comedy genre, content, and show the absurdity of the
world. Social alienation of human uncertainty is a struggle for after the bursting of
the rational principle is futile in the central content of it. When one looks at all of
this people often say that cynical laughter has to do with humorous attitude with the
reality of a distance between the order in which it is maintaining the dignity of
battered man who was violently attacked mentally and physically. DePaul University
has black comedy defined as Black humor comedy mingled with horror or a sense of
the macabre; extremely bitter, morbid, or shocking humor . The humor in Vonnegut s
fiction is what enables us to contemplate

great way to overcome any shyness.
Both partners have a great deal to give each other and, as long as they communicate
with each other, theirs will be a stable and happy relationship. Club dancing is social

Sometimes, chemistry with the teachers, or good dancing partners are more
important than what others think of the club. There is a lot more that goes on
behind the scenes, as dancing partners fall out, fall over, or sometimes even fall in
love. Dancing partners are increasing their chances of staying life partners and there
is a bonus in the bedroom as well. For example, dance partners, Camilla Dallerup

Battle Of Hamburger Hill Essay
The Battle of hamburger Hill
The Battle at Dong Ap Bia occurred during Operation Apache Snow during The
Vietnam War, which had the aim of clearing the People s Army of Vietnam
(PAVN) and Viet Cong (VC) from the A shau Valley in South Vietnam. This valley
was situated near the border with Laos, and it had become a haven for communist
forces and major infiltration route into the south. This operation was initiated on 10
May 10 1969 with the specific purpose of destroying the PAVN and VC forces
believed to be grouped in the A shau Valley, blocking enemy routes of egress in Laos,
interdicting enemy lines of communication and locating and destroying known
enemy caches. This valley was heavily forested, and above the it stood Ap Bia

over Hamburger Hill reached the United States Congress, with particularly severe
criticism of the military leadership by Senators Edward Kennedy, George
McGovern, and Stephen M. Young. In its 27 June issue, Life Magazine published
the photographs of 241 Americans killed in one week in Vietnam; this is now
considered a watershed event of the negative public opinion toward the Vietnam War.
While only five of the 241 featured photos were of those in the battle, many
Americans had the perception that all of the photos featured in the magazine were
casualties of the battle. The controversy of the conduct of the battle of Hamburger

hold down casualties, General Abrams discontinued a policy of maximum pressure

The Positive Impacts Of Athletic Participation And...
Just as studies at the collegiate level have found athletic participation to be both
positive and negatively related to academic performance, the same came be seen at
the high school level. However, in some of the early studies athletic participation was
not seen to have an impact on academic achievement (Lumpkin Favor, 2012). Hauser
and Lueptow (1978) found in their study of 852 senior males that graduated in 1972,
from five moderately large Midwestern city high schools, that their results were in
line with the results of the 1973, Lueptow and Kayser (as cited in Hauser and
Lueptow, 1978) study that they replicated, do not support a casual interpretation of
the relationship between athletic involvement and academic achievement. (Hauser
Lueptow, 1978, p. 308). Alternatively, that athletic participation was not the
underlining reason, but the initial dissimilarities in academic achievement between
athletes and non athletes. Marsh (1993) in his study found a similar lack of effects
for athletic participation on school grades. However, he did find participation in
athletics during the last two years of high schoolhad a statistically significant positive
impact for 14 of 22 senior and post high school outcomes and no apparent negative
effects. There do seem to be more studies that find either a negative impact (Beem,
2006; Cook, 2003; Gehring, 2004; Goldman 1991; Klein, 2011) or positive impact

Powerlessness In Frances Burney s A Mastectomy
Frances Burney started feeling pain in her breast in 1810, and in September 1811 a
mastectomy was performed to her. In her letter A Mastectomy she describes the
illness and the operation, her feelings and fears, to her sister Esther Burney. The
letter tells a story of a battle of control and against the feelingof powerlessness. It also
speaks of empowerment; writing is Burney s way of regaining control over her
operation and making it part of her own history. In this paper I attempt to find and
analyse the reasons for Burney s feeling of powerlessness, its describtion in the letter,
and the ways she tries to fight it. Although the moment when Fraces Burney as a

Kaye also speaks of control: Burney s hesitanse about beeing seen can be better
understood as a desire to maintain control over her inner and outer self (Kaye
1997, 46). It seems that being examined by a doctor was not an everyday matter for
a 19th centure woman, and Burney feels strongly about her chastity. But on this,
as in the scene where she resist of taking her robe de chambre off before the
surgery, Burney has to submit to the wishes of her husband and friends, and the
orders of her doctors. In addition to being physically revealed to the gaze of the
doctors, Burney also is being defined by her diagnosis. It makes her a sick person,
who has less authority of her own life and body, and who has to consult doctors
and obey their advice and orders. Her illness determinates the course of the rest of
her life, the operation leaving her body disformed. She begins to seek for moments
when she can feel like she is in control, deciding about her own life. I see in the text
two moments that clearly represent her wish for independence, for the chance to
make her own decisions. First, the moment when she resists of taking off her
dressing gown before the surgery; I was compelled, however, to submit to

The Is A Political Drama Series That Revolves Around Its...
Scandal is a political drama series that revolves around its main character Olivia
Pope, played by Kerry Washington. The show focuses on Olivia s team solving
cases for people with issues such as rape, murder, and other scandalous problems.
The show is also about the relationship between Olivia and the President of the
United States, Fitzgerald Grant III, played by Tony Goldwyn. Olivia used to work
for the President as a White House Communications Director. Though, their
interrelationship goes beyond the normal employer employee relationship. Olivia
and President Grant are secretly having an affair. As the only African American
woman to play the protagonist role, Washington portrays a strong, powerful
character that is complex yet identifiable for postmodern audiences. Olivia has
many admirable traits that make her a popular role model, yet she is also viewed
as an antihero for her lack of morals and manipulative ways. As the female antihero,
Olivia embodies many of the key aspects of an archetypal antihero and exemplifies
this character type to great success (Gallagher, n.d.). She has become an example of
our society s view of genderrelations and sexuality in American popular culture.
The scene that I chose to focus on for a current form of popular culture is from the
episode, Even the Devil Deserves a Second Chance in Season 5. Prior to the actual
scene being analyzed, Olivia is confronted outside the oval office by Cyrus Beene
who is the Chief of Staff. Cyrus

Informative Essay On US Territories
Eleanor Boardman
English IV AP, 1
Mr. Wesley

US Territories Americans, lack appreciation for the value of their citizenship, so they
rarely question whether others should be included in their given birthright privileges.
The center in this rarely discussed topic is the United States territories, they include
American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the United
States Virgin Islands. The territories for average Americans are the places they can
go for an exotic vacation without a passport. But for the islanders, their relationship
and citizenship with American is still heavily based on laws and court cases when in
they were acquired. Unlike many aspects of government changing in the last one

Currently all of the territories but American Samoa have citizenship in the United
States. But, unfortunately it is not the same as the birthright citizenship given to
people born in the 50 states. One of the main problems are in two words found in
Article II, Section I, Clause 5 of the United States Constitution, natural born
citizens. These two word determine whether a citizen could run for president or
vice president. The definition of these words has been quite controversial.
Currently they are defined as the place of birth being in one of the fifty states and
not in a foreign country. This definition does not make a firm stance on the US
territories, because citizens [born in the territories] clearly are not foreign born, but
[the question is] are these citizens natural born for purposes of Article II(Torruella).
Though the majority of the citizens of the US do not have the opportunity to run
for president, still every child s dream when they are little is to become the leader
of the free world. The lack of this glimmer of hope is just the start to the unleveled
playing fields of the mainland US citizenship and territorial US

Patriarchy In The Awakening
In the novel, The Awakening by Kate Chopin portrays an image where someone shifts
from one phase to another one. We find the protagonist go through a shift from
patriarchy to feminist resistance. As this story continues to unfold, Edna goes
through feminist resistance where she doesn t want to still rely on her husband
anymore and wantto live by her own rules. Edna Pontellier s awakening takes place
in Grand Isle and New Orleans during the late 1800s. It is an important factor of
the book because during this time period women were fighting for their rights.
Usually before this time, women would only stay home and follow the orders of
their husbands. Women during this time period needed to stay home and care for
the house and the children. They always had to live for their children almost are like
a slave to their husband. Women would be often seen as a property and not an actual
human being. In this novel, we find restrains at the beginning and later see the shift
to wanting freedom of expression.
In first paragraph of the novel, Kate Chopin describes an image of a bird that is
restrained from its freedom just as Edna feels held back from hers. A green and
yellow parrot, which hung in a cage outside the door... (Chopin, pg#) There is
symbolism behind the caged bird, which refers to Edna s feelings of imprisonment.
The bird symbolize Edna at home, a place she can t escape from and has to live with
under her husband s ruling . There is a saying in Spanish that states

What Is Effective Communication In Healthcare
Healthcare is one of the most diverse and evolving businesses ever created. In the
hands of nurses, physicians, and healthcare workers are the lives of their community
members, friends, family, and loved ones. For this reason, having secure
organizational governance is vital. The ability to provide safe, cost effective, high
quality care to patients is the utmost goal for most healthcare organizations, which
would be nearly impossible without skilled managementand leadership guidance

There are two types of communication in an organization, formal and informal.
Informal channels of communication are often found in informal groups, such as a
peer group or a unit based council. This communication is most effective, and allows
for the discussion about ideas and issues that are present and understood by all
(Fallon, Begun Riley, 2013). Formal channels of communication are stricter and fall
down the hierarchy from managers to the subordinate people or vice versa. Such
formal communication could include things like a verbal presentation or document
that expresses a problem, new idea or policy. Communication is especially important
in the organization because of relevance of conflict between employees. A person
who exhibits positive communication techniques during conflict is an active listener,
is able to decipher information and turn it into something both parties involved can
understand and shows others that they are competent and able to stimulate a
resolution to issues (Porter O Grady Malloch,

Determining Hair Types
As long as you are aware of the type your hair type, it is easier to care for the specific
hair and maintain attractive and healthy looks. Being aware of your hair type will
enable you to style, cut and handle your hair more effectively. You will be able to
choose hairstyles that are perfect for your hairtype and achieve the exact results that
you have been dreaming of.
The process of determining your hair types is based on your ability to understand
various qualities of hair, which includes the hair density, elasticity, texture, oiliness,
porosity (ability to hold moisture) and curl pattern. With all this information at your
fingertips, you will be able to choose products that are specifically meant for your
hair type with ease.
Determining Hair Density ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hold a chunk of your hair on the one side and move it around so that you can be
able to see the hair roots clearly from a few angles. iii. If you are in the bathroom,
turn on the lights so that you can have a better view or you can possibly have
someone hold a flashlight or lamp above your head. iv. Estimate the hair density by
looking at the scalp and hair roots closely. The hair density is based on the amount of
strands that cover your head.
If you are not able to see much scalp, then you have a thick hair density.
If some scalps are visible, you have a medium density
If you are able to see a lot of scalp, then you must be having thin hair density. You can
test other spots to confirm your findings.
Determining Hair Elasticity
i. Pull and stretch a strand of your dry hair. Hold the strands using your hands on both
ends and try pulling it by stretching gently. Be keen and observe what happens.
If the hair strand stretches long before it can break, then your hair is very strong and
has a high elasticity.
If the hair strand breaks before it can snap, then you have a medium elasticity hair
type.
If the strands break immediately when you start to stretch it, then be assured that you
have low elasticity

Analysis Of Lizzie Borden
Fact has been suppressed by fiction, and the fiction is much more interesting to a lot
of people. Lizzie Borden, a thirty two year old daughter of Andrew Borden and step
daughter of Abby Borden, was accused of murdering her father and stepmother.
Lizzie Andrew Borden was innocent. She did not kill her father and stepmother for a
number of reasons. Lizzie Bordenwas innocent because there was no physical
evidence, she wasn t nervous during the investigations, and there was no reason for
her to kill them. Lizzie Borden was an innocent, desolate woman who deserved
better than being accused for a serious case. Lizzie Borden did not injure her father
and stepmother for the same reasons you wouldn t kill your parents.
You may think that the dress was burnt because of blood stains, not paint stains.
There is no way to figure that out. One reason why I believe Lizzie Borden was
innocent is because there was no physical evidence that Lizzie Borden was guilty.
There are only assumptions and theories. In the article, Lizzie Borden: Murderess
or Media Sensation?, it states, There was no physical evidence linking her to the
murders. A hatchet had been discovered in the basement of the Borden home, but
its blade was clean and the handle had been broken off. There are theories about
the prussic acid, the burnt dress stained by paint stains, and how there were no
footprints in the dirt by the barn, but there is could be an explanation for each of
those. The prussic acid could have actually been for the sealskin coat, the dress
could have actually been stained by paint, and the wind could have picked up dirt
and swept the footprints away. People just took everything and made it seem like
evidence, but nobody actually took a second to think; maybe Lizzie Borden was
actually telling the truth about the stuff she did. One person made an assumption and
all of a sudden, they had the entire world thinking the same thing.
Wouldn t you be scared if somebody was onto you if you murdered somebody?
Exactly. Another reason how I know Lizzie Borden is innocent is because during
Lizzie Borden s investigation, she was serene and wasn t nervous while the questions
were being asked. She gave the truth and talked like everything was

Sheilas Character Development
Explore how Sheila s character develops throughout the play The play An
Inspector Calls was written in 1945, by J.B. Priestley, yet set in 1912. At this time,
society was mainly capitalist with industry and agriculture owned privately.
Wealth is not evenly shared and there is a distinct divide between upper and lower
class people. The play is set around a wealthy, upper middle class family, headed by
Arthur Birling a factory owner. In the beginning of the play, we see the family
celebrating the engagement of Sheila and Gerald, the son of Lord and Lady Croft.
This is well supported by Mr Birling who sees this marriage as a business deal, a
time where his company and the Crofts would be able to merge, benefiting the
Birling s greatly. However, we see a drastic mood change when Inspector Goole
arrives, bringing news of the suicide of Eva Smith. Sheila is the only daughter of
Mr and Mrs Birling, in the stage directions described as a pretty girl in her early
twenties, very pleased with life and rather excited , most probably from her
engagement to Gerald Croft. Sheila hopes and plans to be happily married to
Gerald. However, early in the play, Mrs Birling informs Sheila that once married
she will realise that men spend nearly all their time and energy on their business .
Yet, Sheila disagrees with this and warns Gerald, so you be careful . This shows
how Sheila wants her husband to be attentive towards her. Sheila appears to be half

What does it tell you about this particular civilization?
This artifact tells me that warfare in this civilization was a major priority and
military equipment was very important to civilization in the middle ages. This shows
that the middle ages were marked by constant violence and a need to protect
territories from upheavals and alliances who wish to gain control.
Do we have any similar innovations at the present moment?
There are different versions of the crossbow such as the Horton crossbow that is

Rock And Roll, Segregation, And The British Invasion Of
1964
I watched a video from the 50th anniversary presentations. The video I watched
was about Rock and Roll, Segregation, and The British Invasion of 1964. It was
lectured by Dr. Christy Talbott, and she first talked about the pre rock and roll period.
The term Rock and Roll came from a song from the year 1938, that stated My baby
rock and rolls me all night. Rock and Rollor also known as American Rock, was
changed completely after the British Invasion came in 1964. The invasion turned
Rock and Roll into what is known today as Rock, it made a change for the good.
Musicians in the pre Rock and Roll era, sang about current events similar as we do
today. The events they sang about was Segregation, North Vs. South inferiority
and the wars that were happening at the time World War 2, Korean War and
Vietnam War. THe artists of this time consisted of The Everly Brothers, Buddy
Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ritchie Valens and the most famous of them all Elvis
Presley. Elvis Presley s music was called White man with an African American
feel. In 1959 Motown records in Detroit, Michigan hired an all black group called
The Temptations. Their song My Girl hit number one on the billboards in 1964.
The man that hired them was Berry Gordy Jr. Berry Gordy Jr also hired all black
women groups as well, but unlike the all black male groups he dressed the women
groups as white folk.

Kingdom of Heaven Analysis Essay

The Kingdom of Heaven is an anti religion humanist epic. The moral of the story is
that humanism is better than religion. KOH uses a traditional storytelling formula
designed to convince people to reject a particular belief or worldview. A
sympathetic hero begins the story believing in the worldview the screenwriter wants
to discredit. After seeing the worldview for what it really is (according to the
storyteller at least), the hero reluctantly rejects that worldview in favor of one the
screenwriter wants to endorse. In this case the hero, Balian, starts as a Christian.

Essay about Doubting Thomas
Doubting Thomas
According to Webster, Skepticism is the philosophical doctrine that the attainment of
absolute knowledge is impossible. It comes from the Greek word skeptesthai
meaning to examine, and the practice was brought about during the elementary stages
of philosophy by Pyrrho sometime between 360 270 b.c. Some other well known
skeptics are Xenophanes, Gorgias, and Sextus Empiricus. Skepticism is very common
in today s society, and is practiced in some way by all. If you are alive and

Such skepticism was useful during Pyrrho s time; if nothing was provably wrong,
one could legitimately accept the customs or religion of whoever was in power.
He also believed that each theory had it s own contradictory argument, so he
suspended judgment on all events.161 The roots of skepticism are also believed to
be accredited to Xenophanes, a philosopher and poet of Asia Minor. He believed
that if truth were stated. It could not be known In his writings Xenophanes cleverly
satirized the polytheistic beliefs of earlier Greek poets and of his own
contemporaries. He ridiculed their deities as gods created in the image of the mortals
who worshiped them. In a famous passage he asserted that if oxen could paint and
sculpt, they would depict gods who resembled oxen. He felt that humans should reject
polytheistic ascribing of human motivation and characteristics to inanimate objects,

and unifying all worldly phenomena. 117 A parallel to Xenophanes philosophy is
that which was expressed by Gorgias, a famous Sophist. The Sophists consisted of
experienced debaters and speech writers who popularized the ideas of various early
philosophers; but based on their understanding of this prior philosophic thought, most
of them concluded that truth and morality were

Chaos Things Fall Apart
As the chaos of the world unfurls, the forces of good must counterbalance this
force for without good, chaos holds no reference to compare it against to make
chaos chaotic. This notion holds true for all forces in the universe as Newton s
famous Third Law states that for every action there is an equal and opposite re
action, thus when chaos reigns, good reacts to counterbalance chaos and bring the
system into equilibrium. However, this relationship may not hold true forever as the
reaction between chaos and good creates entropy chaotic destruction that eventually
will bring chaos it s inevitable victory over good. Mankind attempts to create order
through societal mores to dictate the chaotic nature of the world, however, when the
falcon flies too far from its nest the falcon falls into the perceived chaos of the
world. When the Europeans reached too far into the heart of darkness of Africa, they
attempted to create order where they perceived to be chaos, however, those who
inhabit this so called chaotic land saw the chaos of the furious European falcons and
attempted to protect the good of their land.

The Effects of Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies...
The Effects of Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies on Humans
Abstract
Humans have to deal with many different diseases and the ones most disliked are the
ones with no cures. Like cancer, transmissible spongiform encephalopathies have no
cure, but they are more rare. These diseases are prion diseases which cause the brain
to deteriorate. Prions are proteins that sometimes behave like viruses, which mean
that they should have some form of nucleic acid, but since they don t, they cause
abnormalities. The nervous system contains many normal prions, but when an
abnormal prion comes along, it transforms all the normal prions into abnormal ones.
Bovine spongiform encephalopathy is found in cattle, but it can be transmitted to
humans. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Humans are susceptible to many different diseases and unfortunately, these
transmissible spongiform encephalopathies have death written all over them.
Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies 2
Should people really fear eating beef because of the possibility of contracting bovine
spongiform encephalopathy? Probably not since one can only contract this disease
through the consumption of contaminated meat. If a non contaminated part of an
infected cow is consumed, the person would not contract this disease. If one is
unfortunate enough to consume a piece of contaminated meat, it is basically his/her
death sentence because his/her brain will slowly deteriorate through abnormal prions
that pass the immune system as a normal prion.
The meats that consumers eat are slabs of a cow s muscle tissue and the infectious
meat is only found in the nerve tissue. Of course there is the possibility of having
some of the contaminated meat passed on to the meat that consumers eat when the
cows are cut, but the chances are very slim. Since this disease is contracted through
eating contaminated meat, the site of infection should be in the digestive tract, yet
this disease eats away at the brain and nervous system.
The abnormal prions from the contaminated meat invade the nervous system to reach
the brain, where they eat away and create holes that make the brain look like a
sponge. The person slowly loses his/her

Flavo s Home By Gordon Parks
It keeps growing, spreading like cancer, human excrement clogged the sewer, a large
hole served as a toilet, the children ate with their fingers, desperate criminals hid in
the night, long lines waited at the sole water spigot, others waited at the only toilet in
the entire mountainside, throughout the place came wailing of hunger and hurt,
povertyis everything but a laughing matter. Photographer and writer, Gordon Parks,
in his essay, Flavio s Home reveals the struggles of families in poverty in Rio de
Janeiro, Brazil, highlighting a social political concern faced in many countries. Parks
essay, originally published in Voices in the Mirror during the 1990 s, adopts an

By appealing to the reader s emotions, Parks uses pathos to encourage the reader to
want to stop such tragedies from occurring. Parks is also credible, by being a well
known photographic essayist who has grown up knowing the struggle of poverty
and racism himself. Parks gains impact by mentioning in detail the way that Flavio s
family lives, and what a usual day consists of, for his family. Though he offers no
solutions, just the presentation of the struggles of one child, Parks emphasizes
specifically how the rich ignore the plight of these impoverished people, facing the
other direction by comparing the lifestyle in Parks hotel, and Flavio s home.
Evidently, Parks builds a strong interpretation of the rising population of poverty,
bringing a new perspective and meaning to the reader. The use of distinct details
lets the reader imagine exactly what wants to be visualized by Parks, describing
grimy walls that had large gaps, and floors, rotting under layers of grease and dirt
(Parks 2). Since Flavio s parents are away for most of the day, he is left with chores
to do until dark when he finally came back, his body sagging, ready to end the day
(Parks 2). Parks word choice creates immediacy, as if the reader were in Flavio s
shoes, constantly struggling to support a family. This lets readers obtain a greater
meaning of poverty, that can be reestablished and shared

to this story due to the significance that Jonas had differentiated from his peers that
had their differences acknowledged by the Elders themselves, each with their own

The Element That Changed The World
The Element That Changed the World
In world history an event with the span of only two days seems insignificant in
comparison to the other 4.5 billion years, but it is hard to imagine a life without
these days being deemed insignificant. Thirty years ago an explosion directly
changed the lives of over 135,000 people and indirectly affected the rest of the
world. The effects of Chernobyl have been powerful throughout the past three
decades, and have influenced different aspects of our political society as well as
social reforms in the Soviet Union. Not only did the explosion bring awareness to
environmental concerns, but it also altered the course of the everyday citizens under
the control of the USSR. Chernobyl had some disastrous and ... Show more content

Throughout the time of nuclear power, scientist have been debating whether or not it
was worth the risk for nuclear power. Most people agree that [it has] the capacity to
turn the earth into a desert or make the desert bloom (4). Nuclear power is ideal in
terms that it is efficient and cost effective, but it also has some downfalls. The
process creates a lot of nuclear waste that is highly radioactive without a good place
of disposing it, not to mention the inherently dangerous risks involved with nuclear
power plants, such as explosions.
The power plant at Chernobyl had 4 RBMK 1000 pressurized reactors that were
cooled by water, and fueled by splitting uranium atoms. These reactors used graphite
blocks that act as moderators to slow down and control the output of neutrons
released during nuclear fission. Since nuclear fission and fusion produce a lot of
thermal energy, water is used to cool the reactor s core. The now boiling water creates
steam which is tunneled through two steam powered turbines to produce near 1,000
megawatts of electricity.
The cooling systems of the reactors are extremely important to the stability of the
complex. If the cooling system were to malfunction, there are series of back up
cooling systems to prevent a meltdown caused by the high intensity heat produced by
the uranium. If there were no cooling system at all, the graphite would turn into a
radioactive molten core that would risk seeping in the ground soil, and

Supremacist And Predicaments In Ted Hughes s Life
Supremacist and predicaments in Hughes s childhood clouded his envisioned
proficient future while molding him for the better. Racial experiences in his earlier
years would stick with him forever by shaping him into a confident artist
determined to expose the nation to his exquisite persona. Since Hughes lived during
racially hostile America, it is no surprise he had some memorable experiences. In
The Big Sea Hughes points out a situation when he was having trouble being
admitted into a school since no other black families were there (14). Likewise, in his
stories Hughes creates scenarios demonstrating the prejudice and racially orthodox
issues seen in America. Not only are these problems caused by non ethnics, but in his
writing he attacks

Sexism And Women s Rights
Women make up half of this world s human population, and with consideration of
this fact, who is to say women are lesser of the two genders? Sexism and Women s
Rights are a global issue, that affects more than just woman themselves. Even in the
United States, commonly known as the Land of the Free , ironically is empowered
by the Statue of Liberty, which presents false ideas that women are well respected in
this country and provided with equal rights. Throughout history, women have
constantly been working hard to prove their strength and ability, it was not until the
twentieth century that women started to rise up in society and were slowly
beginning to be viewed as an equally capable being in the eyes of the United States.

Even though America has still not reached gender equality, I do agree with those
who claim that American women have substantially grown in society and
contradicted many stereotypes. In places like Afghanistan, women are not to go
anywhere without the approval of men. There are who try to escape their abusive
husbands are thrown in jail. Though a jail sentence may seem tragic, many feel
that if they were to ever be let out would be killed. In Armenia when women try to
inform authorities of the abuse they are experiencing at home, they are asked what
they did to deserve their beating, or are sent home because wife beating is a family
matter. (Source two) Home is supposed to be where one is most comfortable.
Home is supposed to be where one feels safe, it is not a place that anyone should
fear or feel the need to run away from. Because of the severe violence women
encounter internationally, I support women s right once again rising to a status of
urgency, so that women who try to stand up for themselves using the little self esteem
they have theft, will be provided with reassurance that the trauma they endured was in

Hypertension Is Characterized By Chronic Elevated Blood...
Background
Hypertension is characterized by chronic elevated blood pressure1. It can be a
predisposing factor or secondary to heart failure. In the US, there are 75 million
individuals who have hypertension with two thirds of individuals 65 years or older
diagnosed. Various factors can contribute to the development of hypertension
including renal disease, thyroid disease, dysregulation of hormones, and alcohol
consumption. The disease also highly correlates with age as even individuals 55
years old with normal blood pressure have a 90% lifetime risk of developing
hypertension with age. Left untreated, hypertension can result in retinopathy,
cardiomyopathy, and stroke with the most common cause of death being coronary
artery disease. The diagnoses of hypertension is primarily done by the monitoring of
blood pressure with multiple readings of systolic pressure greater than 140 mmHg
and diastolic pressure greater than 90 mmHg indicating stage one hypertension1,2.
The evaluation of the eyes, heart, thyroid, and renal system are also important in
understanding the cause and extent of hypertension. Initial treatment involves
lifestyle and diet modifications such as exercise, smoking, cessation, and limited
sodium intake. Patients unresponsive to lifestyle and diet modification or have a
blood pressure greater than 160/100 mmHg are recommended by the American Heart
Association to begin drug therapy. Current JNC 8 guidelines dictate the goal of
treatment to reduce blood pressure

Initially, Monica contacts Carl about the key items needed for orientation and he
assures her that everything is good to go. This could not have been further from
the truth. At this point, he is not aware of the problems he will face in his new
endeavor. Carl s lack of experience is clearly exhibited when his assurance has not
been tested. The next key problem that arises for Carl is when he checks the new
trainee files and discovers that they are incomplete. All the new recruits have gone
through the interview process and filled out their paperwork. Unfortunately, the
paperwork is incomplete and missing lots of valuable data. To make matters worse,
some files are missing transcripts, and no one has completed the required drug
screens. Problems only get worse for Carl when he discovers that only three copies
of the employee manuals exist. Of the three manuals that exist, they are all missing
several pages. Unfortunately, he needs fifteen complete copies. As if the previous
issues alone are not bad enough, Carl also learns that the training room he plans to
use for orientation has been booked by another individual for the entire month of
June. At this point, he is faced with a serious dilemma, and his lack of experience
reveals that he does not realize the severity of his problem. Namely, he lacks
leadership because he failed to prepare and assumed that his first project would go
smoothly. Next, he

LIBERTY
I was once a bird
Locked up in a cage
Forlorn, beyond hope,
Heart s dammed with range,

I tried to outstrip the wind
But I ve a broken wing
Trying to flee but my feet are enslaved by rings.
Then a lil boy came by and freed me away,
I spread my wings,
Alas! On the ground I stay.
Then the boy slimed and held me in his palm,
It s alright lil bird, your struggles are gone
You are free
Broken Love
I still wonder why we still linger in this hopeless love keeping ourselves busy

Civil Liberties In America
The United States of America is viewed throughout the world as the symbol of
freedom. Battling for its freedom from the beast of the 1700s Great Britain, the
United States made sure to cherish its freedom with the ensured liberties given to the
people that would evolve the nation into the super power of modern time. While
many believe that the United Stateskept its promise of libraries throughout its time, in
actuality its freedoms diminished during times of calamity and war by ways such as.
Many civil liberties, such as freedom of speechand freedom of press were suppressed
due to the passing of several acts during World War I.

Abstract
This research paper is about discussing the effects of cloud computing on the
software development process. Cloud computing is very popular these days. The
concept of cloud computing is quite different from other existing computing
techniques. Cloud computing is a modern concept evolving as a multidisciplinary
field based on web services and service oriented architecture; this is supported by
Alter (2008). So it is affecting the software development process to a great extent
which has its own pros and cons. These will be discussed in this research paper.

This concept is not entirely new as most of us are using this from past many years
in one form or another using emails and WWW. But now days the concept has
revised too much. Users can access the resources directly through the internet;
there is absolutely no need of having the direct physical access to the resources
within the organization s premises. The concept is based on service provisioning
where the services can be easily provisioned and de provisioned as per the user s
request and demand. This is very beneficial for the users as they do not have to pay
for the entire service, they will pay as per its use, which reduces the total cost. This
concept ahs in turn invented some new concepts like mesh computing, pay per use
service, cloud platforms, etc.
This is very important to investigate this area as it reduces a lot of development
cost and the development time too. It makes the access to the services as very easy
and comfortable job. A lot of research is going on this topic to further improve its
efficiency and effectiveness.

High Schools And School Schools
Armed and Educated
Columbine, Sandy Hook, and the UT Tower shooting are just a few examples of the
terror parents, teachers, and students face today. More and more massacres and
threats are affecting our schools on a daily basis. No one should fear to receive an
education and certainly no parent should fear their child entering the doors of an
elementary school. What can we do to prevent these tragedies from happening
again? How can we strip the worry from the men, women and children involved in
our educational systems at work today? The only options to putting an end to the
untimely and unfair deaths of our teachers and students is tighter security, psych
evaluations, and armed personnel. This means of security should not only be
present in high schools or Jr. Highs, but should be present in all of our educational
buildings, including colleges, elementary schools and child care centers. All of the
places listed should be aware and willing to respond with any force necessary to
protect their lives and the lives of others. More security cameras, attending at least
one anti bullying program per school year, teachers need training to psychologically
assess a troubled student, and armed teachers should all play a role in defending and
keeping our schools safe. This is not taking our freedom but protecting our right to
live and learn.
Security cameras can be spotted in many places including stores, airports, gas
stations, and school buildings. All of the surveillance equipment

Gantt Chart

Still accepted as an important management tool today, it provides a graphic schedule
for the planning and controlling of work, and recording progress towards stages of a
project. The chart has a modern variation, Program Evaluation and Review Technique
(PERT). * Industrial Efficiency: Industrial efficiency can only be produced by the
application of scientific analysis to all aspects of the work in progress. The industrial
managementrole is to improve the system by eliminating chance and accidents.[6] *

Each row of the chart corresponds to an individual machine or operator. These charts
do not indicate which tasks were to be done, however.
A novel method of displaying interdependencies of processes to increase visibility
of production schedules was invented in 1896 by Karol Adamiecki, which was
similar to the one defined by Gantt in 1903. However, Adamiecki did not publish his
works in a language popular in the West; hence Gantt was able to popularize a similar
method, which he developed around the years 1910 1915, and the solution became
attributed to Gantt. With minor modifications, what originated as the Adamiecki s
chart is now more commonly referred to as the Gantt Chart.[11][12]
Gantt Chart
A Gantt chart is a type of bar chart, developed by Henry Gantt in the 1910s, that
illustrates a project schedule. Gantt charts illustrate the start and finish dates of the
terminal elements and summary elements of a project. Terminal elements and
summary elements comprise the work breakdown structure of the project. Some
Gantt charts also show the dependency (i.e. precedence network) relationships
between activities. Gantt charts can be used to show current schedule status using
percent complete shadings and a vertical TODAY line as shown here.
Histrory:
The first known tool of this type was developed in 1896 by Karol Adamiecki, who
called it a harmonogram. Adamiecki published his chart in 1931, however, only in
Polish, which limited both its adoption and
