Subject: Quality Assurance and Improvement of Domestic Work and Child and Elderly Care Education and Training
According to the new accreditation and renewal process granted by the Addis Ababa City Administration Education and Training Quality Regulatory Authority, Bole Branch Office, a checklist was monitored and evaluated to assess the quality of education and training in the domestic work and child care sector. This presentation is designed to present the assessed quality level, strengths and weaknesses, and the improvement measures needed for the future. The main objective is to ensure that the quality and effectiveness of education and training in this sector are constantly maintained and improved.
The objective of the Authority is to
Maintain the quality and efficiency of education and training by identifying qualified training institutions in the domestic work, child and elderly care education and training sector, and to share best practices with low-performing training institutions.
Objectives of Training Institutions
The main objective of the training institutions is to train our unemployed people in the field of domestic care, childcare and elderly care, and to facilitate their employment abroad.
Conclusion
In conclusion, this checklist monitoring and evaluation has revealed that it is very important and useful to ensure the quality of education and training in the domestic care and childcare sector.
• Strengths: The proper implementation of accreditation and renewal processes, coordination and cooperation with stakeholders, and meeting training delivery standards have contributed to raising the level of quality.
• Areas for improvement: In some institutions, the human resource management system, professional qualification system, and quality of education are not at the desired level. This requires urgent and practical improvement measures.
Looking ahead, while efforts to ensure the quality of education and training are positive, ongoing monitoring, strengthening professional development training, and strengthening evaluation systems are essential to bring about lasting change in the quality and effectiveness of the sector.
