1. Reference: Figure 14.5 page 356, which of the considerations would be most
critical in your opinion and why? In my opinion timing is the most important part to
consider in merchandising plans. Customers are consistently demanding new and
better products. This demand makes accurate planning more important in the
merchandising process. Retailers must now offer through the various channels of
retailinga larger and better assortment of products. In order to excel and maintain the
competitive edges retailers are understanding more the ever the importance for
inventoryplanning and management. There is a tricky balance of not over investing
on inventory, but also more importantly is not alienating customers or losing sales by
being out of stock. Throughout the entire distribution processes the timing of... Show

Explain five factors for a chain retailer to review in determining how to allocate
merchandize among its stores. 1. The market balance is essential to be competitive
and to differentiate to level of services between low end and high end retail locations.
2. Brand objectives to maximization profits in positioning store brands maintaining
quality and standards while producing product availability considering customers
lifestyles.
3. Understanding the consumer trends in the market segments at each location to
create customer centric products. Each location should not receive identical
allocation because the deal was right.
4. Updated store level data trends leads in ensuring allocations will produce profitable
sales and inventory turns to maintain cash flow. This understanding will optimize
stock levels using an inventory Management report system. Product allocation should
be based on demand.
5. Price range that will create customers value. 8. In your next visit to an area retailer,

Boston Massacre Dbq
On March 5, 1770...The Boston Massacre, known as the Incident on King Street
by the British, was an incident on March 5, 1770, in which British Army soldiers
shot and killed people while under attack by a lot of colonists. There was not a
massacre on March 5, 1770 in Boston because. According to the sources B,C and D
say that the colonists had weapons and they were also attacking in the massacre. The
evidence that supports my claims is that in documents B,C,D the colonists are
clearly seen with weapons according to the documents with the gazette, it said that
the colonists had weapons and were involved in the fight. This supports my own
opinion because in document b the colonists are seen with some type of sword or
golf club. My second reason

Mandatory Arrest Laws Essay
In the struggle and determination to end intimate partner violence, laws were made
to provide a sense of security in the homes of these domestic violence victims. These
laws created an impression that this violence can and will be stopped by law
enforcement individuals. That is to say that law enforcement is given the power to
make warrantless arrests to ensure that the victim is safe and away from the
perpetrator. Many states have different discretionary mandates that specifically advise
these officers to be decisive in the situations that they will face in the future. In some
states, the mandatory arrest is up to the officer s own judgement, while in other states
they have the more assertive and hard hitting approach to end the violence.... Show

Mandatory arrest laws were created in order to provide the victims a sense of
safety, reduce the violence, and strive to show society that the law is there to help
when it is needed. These laws have put a damper on police officers for the reason
being that they are the ones that have complete discretion to arrest those in that
situation. Mandatory arrest laws function when there is a domestic violence that
occurs in the home and no matter the circumstances of the fight, whether there is
any physical harm done to the victim or not, the police officer must bring someone
into custody. In the situation that the victim does not want the perpetrator to be
arrested, it is not up to the victim to make that request whether or not they should
be in custody. The police officer on the scene is either given a guideline to follow
in order to bring in the offender or it is solely up to them on who is going to be
arrested. Different states have a diverse set of rules for handling these types of
cases. For example, Arizona has mandatory arrest laws that when a call is made and
there is probable cause of the situation an arrest must be made, but as for Delaware
is it completely up to the police officers

Three Ethical Systems Pape Essay
Three Ethical Systems Paper (WK2)
Rosalie R King
Ohio Christian University
ET 3000 Ethics
Dr. Wolfe
March 25, 2013 We all have ethics that we follow even if we do not realize that we
are following them. They are applied in the decisions we make in are day to day life
and even the choices we make for our future. For many their ethics and morals are
things that they learn through their upbringing and their life experiences. Others also
apply their faith to their already instilled ethics and morals. In the paragraphs below I
will be defining unqualified absolutism, conflicting absolutism, and graded
absolutism and give examples of different scenarios involving all three ethical
systems. Then finally I will conclude by identifying ... Show more content on

I know people of strong faith that tell a little white lie in order to protect others.
This is one ethical system that I personal do not agree with. The system of
conflicting absolutism states that moral laws cannot be avoided. It tells us that it
maintains all moral absolutes and that there are no exceptions made (K, 2011). I
find this to be untrue because I know that God has the power to change thing and
he will always provide us a way out of situations. This ethical system basically tells
us that it is our moral duty to choose the path of lesser evil. Most of our society is
evil ultimate we live in an evil world and because of this conflict exists ( Three forms
of, ).
Under this ethical system if it came to lying to save someone s life or tell the truth
and have them die a person who uses this ethical way of think would make the
choice to lie and save that person s life because lying is doing the lesser evil. To
me in this situation if I tell the truth and someone dies because of my decision then
to me I had a part in killing them and that is worse than the lie I would have told in
order to save their life. Under this system it is believe that we will be forgiven for
choosing the less evil path. To me this ethical system is one that many people use
when making the ethical decisions even though we all know that it is wrong to lie
most people would never want to see anyone die.
Finally we come to graded absolutism the text book defines it as

Andre Agassi s Open Essay
In Andre Agassi s autobiography Open, Agassi provides an in depth description of
his childhood and the pressures that burdened him throughout his life. From an
early age, Agassi was primed to become the best tennis player in the world. Agassi s
father, Mike, forced the sport of tennis upon him. Andre would be forced to hit
thousands of balls every day. My father says that if I hit 2,500 balls each day, I ll hit
17,500 balls each week, and at the end of one year I ll have hit nearly one million
balls. A child who hits one million balls each year will be unbeatable (Agassi, 28).
This heavy and inordinate workload proved to wear on Andre as his childhood went
on. Agassi developed a hatred for tennis. He describes his relationship with tennis by
saying, I hate tennis, hate it with all my heart, and I still keep playing,... because I
have no choice. He goes on to say, This contradiction between what i want to do and
what I actually do, feels like the center of my life (27). Andre never got the chance to
develop his own goals and expectations. Eventually, he pursued his father s goals even
though that is not what he wanted. I ve internalized my father his impatience,... Show

In a talk given in the October session of the 2010 semi annual LDS General
Conference, President Thomas S. Monson stated, every worthy, able young man
should prepare to serve a mission. Missionary service is a priesthood duty an
obligation the Lord expects of us who have been given so very much. Young men,
I admonish you to prepare for service as a missionary (Monson). Ever since, church
leaders and parents have been urging children to prepare for the opportunity to
serve a mission. Due to the prodding from my parents, I reluctantly took the call
and started to prepare. Soon after, I began to question if a mission was what I wanted

The Virgin Suicides
How does the Sofia Coppola, in The Virgin Suicides, use a range of stylistic features
(film techniques) to display the movies themes and with what effect on the audience?
INTRO:
Director Sofia Coppola uses a range of film techniques to display themes of
obsession, the superficiality of vision and isolation from the real world in her film
The Virgin Suicides. Through use of symbolism, characterization, setting and
techniques specific to a film such a soundtrack, Coppola is able to construct the
intricate, mysterious and unfathomable world of the Lisbon sisters. The story of the
five sisters, told through the eyes of a group of neighborhood boys obsessed with
their mere existence, becomes somewhat of an urban myth. Their tragedy ... Show

OTHER THEMES
THE SUPERFICIALITY OF VISION:
The superficiality of vision is a theme that is evident throughout Sofia Coppola s
The Virgin Suicides. The film, set in suburban America in the 1990 s, emulates the
need for facades and the importance of keeping up appearances . The character of
Mrs. Lisbon in particular, is one that represents the need for conformity throughout
the film. Mrs. Lisbon values the importance of appearances above all else and aims
to fit in with the perfect wholesome, all American family ideal that was apparent at
this period of time.

Red Riding Hood Comparison
Characters from same story can show can different character attributes than other
versions of the story. For instance red riding hood and the wolf in Little Red Riding
Hood by the Brothers Grimm differ from red riding hood and the wolf in the film
Red Riding Hood directed by Catherine Hardwicke. The wolf in the movie goal is
for overall power while the wolf in the story is for his greed or desires. The red
riding hood in the movie wants to marry peter and be happy while the story red
riding hood wants to make her grandmother better. The wolf in the movie at the
beginning was The Caregiver but uses that to mask his true nature of being the ruler
who only seeks power while the story showed the wolf as tricky and deceiving. In the

A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings Of Desire
Wim Wenders (the director of Wings of Desire) does not show the angels as a
normally angel would be depicted. Wim Wenders uses the angels as more of a
witness than a guardian. The role of the angel s in Wings of Desire is to see. They
move silently through the city of Berlin; watching and listening to the actions taking
place around them. The angels are there to show you are not alone. This film shows
what it is like to see what is taking place around you, but not being able to engage in.
This depiction would differ from an orthodox understanding of angels because the
angels in the film do not engage themselves in the actions taking place. A typical
representation of an angel would be the guardian angel. A guardian angel is one that

come to the conclusion that the man is an angel. He s an angel, she told them. He
must have been coming for the child, but the poor fellow is so old that the rain
knocked him down. They believe that the angel was coming to take their sick son
to Heaven. The neighbor tells the family that they should club the angel to death,
while he is weak, so their son will not be taken away. Against the judgment of the
wise neighbor woman, for whom angels in those times were the fugitive survivors
of a spiritual conspiracy, they did not have the heart to club him to death. The
couple decides to take pity on the old man, especially because their son begins to
feel better. The couple decides to keep the angel in the chicken coop, and even
begins charging people to come see him. Elisenda, her spine all twisted from
sweeping up so much marketplace trash, then got the idea of fencing in the yard and
charging five cents admission to see the angel. Marquez s depiction differs from the
orthodox understanding of angels in multiple ways. The family debated on whether
or not to club the angel to death, they kept the angel for selfish purposes, they were
angry at the angel for trying to take their son, and they even made him as a display;

Naked Egg Osmosis
Conclusion
The hypothesis was supported, indicating that the rate of osmosis increased as the
percentage of sugar in each solution increased. As the rate of osmosis increased, the
circumference of the grape decreased more rapidly as more water molecules were
moving out. The graphs show that as the percentage of the sugar solution increased,
the rate of osmosis also increased showing a direct correlation. After the grapes were
placed in the 50% sugar and water solution, the highest concentration, they shriveled
up the most out of all the samples and had the smallest circumference. In the 50%
sucrose group the circumference of the grapes decreased at an average of 0.67 cm
during the experiment. In the less concentrated sucrose solutions that ... Show more

Within the 25% sugar solution group, the circumference in two out of the three
trials did not decrease very much. In this category there was one outlier that brought
down the average. The 5% group had a stronger negative rate of change in the
circumference indicating that osmosis occurred more rapidly. One limitation in my
experiment is that the researcher used circumference to measure osmosis, but, there
are probably slightly better ways to measure osmosis and measuring circumference
can lead to small errors. This could have impacted the results because some of the
measurements may not have been as accurate as they could have been. One possible
solution could be weighing the grapes instead of measuring the circumference.
Weighing the grapes would give more accurate values, as a scale would be used
instead of measurements done by hand. The measuring process caused another
imperfection with the experiment because the grapes were placed back into the cups
as they were being measured. This gave some grapes more time in the sugar solution,
which could have impacted the measurements because the extra time could allow for
more osmosis to take place. A solution to this could be removing all the grapes from
the solutions at the same time, and putting all the grapes back in the solutions at the
same time. This would ensure that no grape would have more time in their respective
solution. Another limitation that was present during the

One Step Observation
Follows verbal directions give me the cup (12 18 mos.) It has been observed that
Teddy on multiple occasions has followed verbal directions. On 10/10 Teddy finds
his shoes sitting on top of the counter so he reaches up and grabs them and walks
around with them. Erica then calls Teddy over and asks him to give his shoes to
her. Teddy walks over and looks at the shoes then to her, before handing the shoes
to Erica like she asked. Another example was on 9/19 when Teddy was playing
with the chain toys. He was playing and was having some difficulty figuring out
what to do with the toy so I asked Teddy If I could see the toy. Teddy then handed
me the toy so I modelled how the toy worked and handed it back to him. Follows
simple, one step instructions (14 18 mos.) Teddy is just starting to follow one step
instructions. Sometime he is able too, other time he does not. On 10/3 Erica was
sitting on the floor with the children and she saw someone s shoe on the floor, she

with the people and caregivers around him. His repeated use of the phrase what is

would be if he does not point at objects or show objects to the people around him,
where this has also been observed Teddy pointing and coming over and handing
objects to the caregivers. Recently on 10/31 Teddy was also observed taking
caregivers hands and pulling them towards what he wanted to show them. With all
these behaviors shows Teddy is showing developmental appropriate uses of

Democritus As The Father Of Modern Chemistry Essay
Outline
Democritus (460 BC 370 BC) (Abdera, Greece)
Democritus was a Greek Philosopher who was the first individual to utilize the term
atom. He imagined that if you take a bit of matter and divide it and keep on dividing
it, you will eventually come to a point where you could not isolate it any longer. This
principle or fundamental unit was what Democritus called an atom.
He called this the theory of the universe:
all matter compromises of atoms, which are bits of matter too little to be seen
there is an unfilled space between atoms
atoms are completely solid
atoms have no internal structure
each atom (of an alternate substance) is different in size, weight and shape

4.The beam will always travel straight if not interfered with
5.The deflection coils each have a specific charge. One is positive and the other is

6.Thompson showed that the charge would deflect away from the negative coil. He
then states that this charge was thus a negative charge
Fun Fact: J.J. Thomson was clumsy with his hands.
Thomson was a great physicist and did not stop when he discovered this negative
charge. Through a progression of crafty experiments, he was could anticipate the
mass of this charge.
Thomson s Atomic Model:
Using what he had found, Thomson anticipated what an atom should resemble. These
are the key focuses to Thomson s Atomic Model
1.Because of its design this model is known as the plum pudding model
2.Each atom is a sphere filled with positively charged fluid. This resembles the sticky
jam part of a pudding.
3.Corpuscles (later called electrons), are the negatively charged particles suspended in
this fluid. This resembles the plum in the pudding
4.He did not predict the movement of these electrons
Ernest Rutherford (1871 1937) (Nelson, New Zealand)
Ernest Rutherford was not persuaded about the model of the atom proposed

Sir Gawain And The Green Knight Essay
Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is a chivalric romance. The romance is by the
Gawain Poet; although it was translated by John Gardner. It is very interesting and
has a shocking climax. The Green Knight arrives in the beginning of the story, New
Year s Day to be exact. He arrives asking to play a game, while King Arthurand his
knights celebrate. The Green Knight arrived unarmed, with no shield neither spear
shaft. King Arthur stares bravely at the Green Knight. The game which the Green
Knight wanted to play consisted of someone striking him with his own ax, wherefore,
the person who accepts will receive the same (a srike with the ax) a year later.
Shocked that no one came forward, the Green Knight coughed in embarrassment. He
looked at King Arthur and his knights as honorable men. King Arthur then accepts,
but Sir Gawaincomes forward and takes it. Because of Sir Gawain being the striker,
he will have to come forward a year later. Sir Gawain will face many challenges

Assess the Usefulness of Social Action Theories in the...
Social action theories are known as micro theories which take a bottom up approach
to studying society; they look at how individuals within society interact with each
other. There are many forms of social action theories, the main ones being symbolic
interactionism, phenomenology and ethnomethodology. They are all based on the
work of Max Weber, a sociologist, who acknowledged that structural factors can
shape our behaviour but individuals do have reasons for their actions. He used this to
explain why people behave in the way in which they do within society. Weber saw
four types of actions which are commonly committed within society; rational, this
includes logical plans which are used to achieve goals, traditional customary
behaviour,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This therefore leaves many sociologists to question whether Blumer s principles
can be used to study society. Labelling theory has also been used to apply the
interactionist theory to society; the theory, like Mead, emphasises the importance
of symbols and situations in which they are used. The main interactionist concepts
are the definition of the situation if we believe in something then it could affect the
way in which we behave. The looking glass self this was created by Cooley who
argues that we see ourselves in a way in which we think others see us. These
concepts have been useful in explaining why people act in certain ways in certain
situations; therefore, the labelling theory is effective in the study of society. Overall,
in conclusion, there are many different social action theories which can be used in
the study of society, however, not all of them can be applied to all

Water In Daytriper Rhetorical Analysis
Water in daytripper reoccurs symbolically in the story, what it represents to me in
this story is revival/rebirth. Before Bras goes to Salvador, he dreams of being on a
boat surrounded by water and next to him is a mysterious woman asking him to

in a dream they are riding on a boat through rough seas being tossed around with

bras dreams his life s goals are laid out as he wishes, Bras through his life just like

but his life as well, and that when the man came to take him on the boat was not an
ordinary man being that his shadow appeared to be something more than just a dark

proves that Led Zeppelin is the greatest rock band of the past 50 years. One key
element of a band is the lyrics. They need to include real meaning to them. The
singer can t be singing about things that don t make any sense or do not care about.
A singer sings best when they are singing about something that they care about or
something that has affected them. This causes the singer to have more emotion
when singing. Led Zeppelin is a prime example of a band that puts passion into
their lyrics. Their lyrics are simply amazing. They tell a story about life.

Guitar solos can make or break a song. They are extremely important for a rock
band. Originality, complexity, influence, and lasting appeal are keys to an insane
guitar solo. Led Zeppelin s Jimmy Page has several fantastic guitar solos such as
Ramble On, Stairway to Heaven, and Whole Lotta Love. They keep the audience
intrigued throughout the performance . They are also complex . Jimmy Page s
perfect mix of fast and slow passages, highs and lows, all set against Plant s voice
define the Led Zeppelin sound. He helped mold Led Zeppelin to what they would

Radiology Technician Essay
Radiology technicians work in the field of diagnostic medicine. X ray
Technologists have been trained to do diagnostic tests by using different medical

Gift Giving And Sharing In The ! Kung Society
Gift giving and sharing was also important in the !Kung society. It helps the !Kung

their meat and others would not. She recounts as a child thinking that she did not like
those that did not share and because of this, she would not share with them. This
shows that Nisa received the account of not sharing meat as an insult and would
therefore, retaliate by not sharing with them. Later in life when she describes her

A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett
A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett
This research paper will examine and explain how imaginative play via
storytelling, doll play or other similar objects provide children an avenue to act out
coping skills. By examining this thought, I will help to explain that Children who
live in supportive environments and develop a range of coping strategies become
more resilient (DeBord: 2004). This research paper will answer the question with a
focus on resilience and coping: Do children who play pretend have higher coping
skills than children who do not play pretend? The main character, Sara, in the story A

Resilience and Coping
Research has expanded to focus on educationally or academically resilient children
those who succeed in school despite the stresses of poverty and inadequate
childrearing conditions (Kitano: 2005). Debord (2004) extensively discusses this
concept of resiliency.5 Despite the stresses of poverty and inadequate living
conditions, Sara demonstrated her ability to generate positive coping strategies thus
preserving her dignity. Burnett provides the reader an understanding of resiliency
when Sara says, Whatever comes cannot alter one thing. If I am a princess in rags
and tatters, I can be a princess inside (108). What attributed to Sara s observed
resilience was her ability to find hope in thinking through her situations out of her
imaginary discussions with Emily and her suppose critical thinking strategies.
Relatively, a modern day Sara would be considered as an at risk youth. According
to Kitano, a resilience approach would similarly serve especially well the needs of
beggar children such as Anne or the house servant Becky of whom experienced
hardship. At risk would include gifted children such as Sara and youth living in
poverty or in circumstances of abuse and neglect like Becky or Anne. Doyle (2001)

quality of information. Also, individuals use social contracts and networks already in

The Importance Of Population Differences
Geographers have different factors to focus on when trying to understand why there
are differences in the world s population. Crude birth rate, crude death rate, natural
increase rate, life expectancy and so on. Each of those are methods used by
geographers to measure population. Geographers should not only look at those
methods when trying to figure out the populationdifferences. Some social factors like
the economy, culture, lifestyle and the government contributes in the differences in
population. Crude birth rateand life expectancy are the two most important indicators
that can help a geographer understand why is there differences in the population.
Crude birth rate is an immensely important factor because not in all courtiers a
woman is having up to seven children. According to statista Niger is a country with
the highest crude birth rate because women are estimated to have 6.76 children per
women. However, China has the largest population in the world and in the
Washington post it states that China allows couples to only have two children. It is
also mentioned that although the government allows couples to have two children
most people only have one child. People in China prefer to just have one child
because is extremely costly. In the Washington post it indicates that to prepare a
child to succeed in the country s competitive schools and workplaces, parents must
invest lots of time and money in a child for schooling, extracurricular activities, and
outside tutoring, often for college entrance and English proficiency exams . This
type of factors makes the difference in population. The economy is not the same
around the world and in the countries that are poor women do not health care and
that means they can not be put on birth control. Crude birth rate explains why some
countries population is bigger than others. If women in some countries are having 5
and more children the population is going be higher than in countries that women
are having one child. In this case, China can not be included because although you
are allowed to just have two children, China was already over populated and had to
come up with the one child policy. I believe that if China stick to just having one
child and Niger s

Literary Issues In Jane Austen s Pride And Prejudice
Jane Austen is one of the many brilliant writers of the eighteenth century. In her
book Pride and Prejudice, originally published in 1813, Jane faces society s
problems head on with her incredible use of literary elements like metaphors and
satire, her wonderful use of setting to tell a story and her skillful use of point of view
to portray the untold story of the eighteenth century societal problems. Jane uses her
book, Pride and Prejudiceto address the economic, political, feminist, sociological,
and philosophical themes of the century through humorous portrayals of the social
atmosphere of late eighteenth and early nineteenth century England, as it mainly
concerned itself with the English aristocracy.
The novel, Pride and Prejudice, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Like most forms of literature, Austen deals with social issues through the use of
satire and metaphorical references. While Mr. Darcy suffered from his large pride,
Jane had many prejudices in the upper class. One instance is shown through a
metaphorical reference in chapter ten. When Elizabeth walks with Mrs. Hurst she
immediately leaves Ms. Bennett to join Mr. Darcy and Miss Bingley. The narrator
then goes on to explain that, The path admitted just three (Austen 36). This
metaphor was a direct reference to the English aristocracy of the early 1800 s.
Miss Bingley, Mr. Darcy and Mrs. Hurst were considered equal in class and higher
up while Elizabeth, who remained left alone, was ranked beneath their social class.
Elizabeth s prejudices against Mr. Darcy were based on the things she knew about
the upper class. While this instance plays a huge hand in her argument, most of her
prejudices begin to diminish as the book progressed.
Throughout the book Austen uses satire to make fun of the morals, social structure
and bias against women in the late eighteenth, early nineteenth century in most parts
of the story. Jane uses a character, Lady Catherine, to enhance her satire. Lady
Catherine realized quickly that the Bennett family held no social grace, nor grace in
general. They lacked the knowledge of understanding simple things like music and art
which Lady Catherine had grown up around. After hearing that Mr. Darcy wanted to
marry Elizabeth, Lady

Psychopath Dennis Rader Case Study

Analysis Of The Lost Generation
You are all a lost generation , said Gertrude Stein to Ernest Hemingway in a casual
conversation in Paris. The phrase then came to characterize an entire post war
generation of the 1920 s which sets the premise of Hemingway s iconic novel, The
Sun Also Rises. After World War I, society quickly began questioning their traditional
ideas of justice, faith and morality. The men and women affected by the aftermath of
the war became physically, psychologically, and morally lost. This group of people
was known as the Lost Generation. Hemingway embodies the ideas and the
characteristics of the Lost Generation in his characters: Jake Barnes, Brett Ashley,
Count Mippopolous, and Michael Campbell. By focusing on the various aspects of

Furthermore, Hemingway reveals to the reader that Jake lost more from the war
than just a sense of purpose. Jake received an injury during the war that has
rendered him impotent. As an Italian colonel said to Jake, You...have given more
than your life (Hemingway 34). We see during an encounter with his lover
Georgette, that he cannot have a complete relationship with a woman. Jake says to
her, Everybody s sick. I m sick, too (Hemingway 23). This is a reflection of the
entire Lost Generation because everyone that we have encountered in Paris is sick
with something. This is a symptom of the post war condition that the Lost Generation
has. Jake accepts that he cannot truly satisfy his true love, Brett Ashley, due to his
injury and tries to find humor in it. He says to Brett that what happened to him is
supposed to be funny and that certain injuries or imperfections are a subject of
merriment while remaining quite serious for the person possessing them
(Hemingway 35). This results in the hopeless relationship that Brett and Jake can
never fulfill which leads to a solution that most of the Lost Generation found comfort
in; alcohol. Jake found that drinking served as a distraction to fill his time and
realized the feeling of things coming that you could not prevent happening were lost
by indulging in alcohol and was happy (Hemingway 151). Brett Ashley is the
beautiful and vibrant French woman who often manipulates men with her sexuality.

Why I Want A Wife
Writing is a form of art, and like a painting two people are able to look at the
painting and give different interpretations of what they see, and the same is goes for
writing. The author paints the reader a picture with words they use. some artist are
better than others in the same way that some writers are better at expressing
themselves than others. An example of an author that is able to paint a picture into
the reader s mind is Judy Brady in her writing Why I Wanta Wife. She is able to
captivate the reader into her writing by sparking an interest in what she has to say
next. However, looking into her writing, the reader is easily able to see the flaws in
her words. She over uses repetition, transitions points poorly, is over stereotypical,
makes illogical claims, and is overly insensitive.
It is often said in order for a person to retain information they need to read the given
information at least three times. In Why I Want a Wife Brady definitely wants the
reader to remember her purpose, because she repeats the phrase I want a wife
twenty six times her short two page essay. Too much repetition can create a
ludicrous effect (Grammar). From the Title the reader already knows that she
wants a wife and does not need to be told another sixteen times. The purpose for
repeating may have been for added emphasis, but this repetition was interpreted as
more of poor word choice. She may have been more persuasive if she used different
ways to express the same idea

Dante s Inferno and the Garden of Earthly Delights
The Garden of Earthly Delights painted by Hieronymus Bosch, depicts many vivid
fictional scenes in triptych style. The right wing of the triptych depicts Hell and the
causes of man s downfall, which Dante wrote about in the Inferno. Dante tries to
convey to all humanity the consequences of human actions and the levels of hellthat
he believes exist for different levels of sins. Dante divides Hell up into ten different
circles, and there is an upper and a lower level of Hell. Dante and Bosch have similar
views on the evil within people and this evil is represented in their works, whether it
transpires in a painting or in a book.

Simulation Analysis Report On The Company
Simulation Analysis Report As the manager of Starshine (SS) in the M A in Wine
country, the company has faced a dilemma of merge with a similar size company
Bel Vino (BV) or being acquired by the large industrial corporate International

Finally, it will identify some issues related to the game. 1.Determine the
reservation prices for BV and SS As a seller of SS to BV or IB, the reservation
price for SS should be the minimum price for SS to accept the deal (either the cash
deal offered by IB or the stock deal offered by BV). It is known that the minimum
reservation prices of SS is the market price ($42.9) for cash deal ((Harvard
Business Publishing, 2015). The determination of reservation price for BV needs
to incorporate synergies and control benefits as a buyer. As a result, we will choose
the highest reservation price using valuation methods and that is, $49.83 with the
optimal synergies and WACC method. Though both differed from the average
prices in the class, it is reasonable to suspect individuals neglected the cash deal
option of IB and contributes to the higher reservation price for SS than my
expectation. Also, for the overestimation of reservation price for BV, it is possible
that single valuation methodology may trigger biases to lift up the result from its
fair value. Hence, a weighted average of all valuation for the price may be more
reliable and accurate. 2.Identify the

The Symbiotic Relationship Between Myth And Reality
Abstract: The symbiotic relationship between powers of mythical stories to assist
transformational change in human lives. The purpose of this research paper is to
explore the power of myth in transforming human lives, it establishes patterns in the
human psyche affects the way of thinking as myths unveil various subjects, ideas, and
challenges.
Each one of us bears countless stories inside ourselves of our own lives and all its
happenings. Therefore, each being is a natural narrator. Everybody tells stories about
their lives; hence, one tends to know oneself as well as seeks understanding of others
through them. When one remembers their stories they speak in narratives. As stated

Therefore, love becomes the catalyst for our progression toward becoming a better
human being. The lovers in the beginning of the myth are not quite the same as
they end up; their shared struggle for existence transforms them. Hence, we see
love exists on a mythical level and transforms the love operating on real level. The
story of Nala and Damayanti in Indian mythology speaks of true love which is put
to a test before the lovers unite. A beautiful depiction of two people in love is
shown when Damayanti had to choose Nala as her husband but the Gods tricked
her by assuming Nala s shape and form. Yet she is able to detect her beloved by his
perspiration beaded on his forehead and his shaking hands as only humans run
through this nervousness. There was a lesson in all that, she loved Nala so much
that she was even ready to reject Gods. Therefore, it s wonderful to experience that
deep love in couples. The mythical story of Nala has its ups and downs as he loses
his kingdom due to a dice game. He transforms himself and frees himself from this
addiction. Henceforth, he truly becomes a worthy king and is reunited with his
beloved, Damayanti. The myth generates a lesson that love spurs a new power, the
power of transformation lies in love, just as it did for Nala and Damayanti. (Bierlein,

Authoritative Government
People do not much like being told what to do; however, people elect rulers to do
just that and are angered when things do not go their way. People do not much like
making hard decisions, but do not like to agree with people who make them instead.
The ultimate debate when taking a position of power then becomes whether to let the
people have a voice in making a governmentor to build one for them to follow. The
best way to govern is to make a government for your public to follow, an authoritative
government. Authoritative governments benefit people more by creating equality
among for their populations, having a faster law making processes, and establishing a
better instilment of discipline and moral consciousness.

students degree of optimism is a predictor of satisfaction with life and distress in
college (Brissette, Scheier, Carver, 2002; Yalcin, 2011). Newlyweds who were higher
in optimismsolved problems more constructively, had lower decline in marital well
being in the first year of marriage, and were better able to handle relationship trouble
(Andersson, 2012a; Neff Geers, 2013). A husbands optimism is associated with
marital satisfaction early on while a wife s optimism is associated with greater...

There are differences and problems that still need to be clarified. For the sake of this
article, optimism and pessimism are shown as one dimension, with someone low in
optimism being high in pessimism. However, there are contradictory ideas about
whether optimism and pessimism are unidimensional or two dimensions. There is
evidence to support the theory that they are unidimensional with low optimism being
the same as high pessimism and vise versa (Rauch, Schweizer, Moosebougger,
2007). However, there is evidence to support the theory that they are two separate
dimensions and people can be high or low in both optimism and pessimism
(Herzberg, Glaesmer, Hoyer, 2006). Additionally, optimism studies are largely done
on European Americans so there is no clarification on the universality of the results.
People from eastern cultures experience more positive emotions when they are
experiencing negative emotions so they might be more optimistic than western

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Noc
ABSTRACT
Network on chip (NoC) is the most reasonable and efficient solution for connecting
the numerous cores in a System on Chip(SoC). In conventional NoC architectures
neighboring routers are connected via hard wired unidirectional communication
channels. Due to the uneven and unpredictable nature of traffic patterns in NoC, one
channel might be overflowed due to heavy traffic in one direction where as the other
unidirectional channel is idle, thus causing performance degradation, data loss and
incompetent resource utilization. So as a cure for this problem, a bidirectional NoC
(BiNoC) is used, which uses bidirectional channels to connect neighboring routers
and it also supports runtime recomputation of channel direction according ... Show

Buffer:
FIFO(First In First Out) memory buffer for temporarily storing one or several units of
communication in transit. They are required for storing transferred data until the next
channel is reserved and is in a position tosurpass them. A router can implement:
Input and output buffering: Here, every output and input external channel is
associated with a single buffer.
Input buffering: Here, buffers are connected only to input external channels.
Output buffering: Here, buffers are connected only to output external channels.

Online Accommodation Processes Literature And
Hereafter...
1.Introduction Today, the Internet is rapidly becoming powerful the decision
making tool for the accommodation promotion purchase process. The sales of
world accommodation are estimated at US$789bn (Ward, 2013). The main
purpose of this study is to thorough review online accommodation processes
literature and hereafter map demarcate attitude patterns during the process. The
goal of this research is to put forward a statistically based framework based on
clickstream/log file analysis of both the internal and external impacts of the
process. The internal process impacts (the individual themselves, search engines,
third parties/social media sites and hotel websites) and the external process
impacts (online access devices and user visual interaction) are inspected before
being formulated into proposed online accommodation process framework.
2.Theoretical Background 2.1Clickstream/Log File Analytics of the Process
Bucklin and Sismeiro (2009) has described that clickstream data as the electronic
record of a user s traffic on the Internet. It gives information such as the pages or
the path viewed by user. However, click stream data is virtually bootless to raw
coded format. This raw data is converted by log file analysis tools, which compile
raw data into human understandable reports (Ramey, 2000). Click stream data has
most advantages to identify the user s attitude in analysing the online accommodation
process. They are a valuable cornerstone for continuous website design

Why Is Mark Twain Wrong
When people think of the greatest works of literature, the first thing that most people
would think of is great epics or massive adventure stories with eloquent and verbose
descriptions. Usually said works are devoid of any grammatical errors or faultless in
structure, organization, and characterization. However, Mark Twainproved everyone
wrong by his work in The Adventures of Huckleberry Fin. His interesting style of
writing proved that the character s viewpoint of the story itself is more important
than staying within reason of correct grammar usage. Mark Twain was easily the
most influential writer of his time because of how and why he wrote his novels.
Mark Twain often writes in first person style, and it is evident with how the English...

His unique and revolutionary writing style still stand out among other famous works
of literature to this day, even with the criticism and heat it received upon its
publication back in 1885. The way that Twain conveyed his inner love for the south
and its diverse people and culture made The Adventures of Huckleberry Fin a novel
that can, and will stand the test of time in being one of literature s best works.
Twain effectively proved that a refined dialect is not needed to create a
masterpiece in the form of a novel, but rather it is how the characters and setting in
the story are described in the light they are presented in. The way Mark Twain
warped the language and dialect of the text to appeal to the southern states is still a
marvel to appreciate to this day. Even if some say that Twain s writing is not the
correct way to be writing a novel, he still managed to depict a certain culture so
perfectly that authors to this day wish they had his talent in descriptive

Generalized Anxiety Disorder Research Paper
Anxiety disorders are the most common disorder in the united states. There are six
different types of anxiety disorders. There is generalized anxiety disorder, anxiety
attack(panic disorder), obsessive compulsive disorder, phobia disorder, social anxiety
disorder, and post traumatic stress disorder.
Generalized anxiety disorder is characterized by a continuous state of excessive,
uncontrollable, and pointless worry and apprehension. People with generalized
anxiety disorder often worry about routine, everyday things, even though their
concerns are unjustified.
Panic disorder is when people experience recurrent and unexpected panic attacks,
along with at least one month of persistent concern about additional panic attacks,

Current Issues Course Essay
I am writing this essay in application for the Current Issues course. I believe that
this course will help me gain valuable skills that will help me in college. Current
Issues is also a topic that interests me a lot as it is something that isn t really touched
on in high school and it is something that I would like to deepen both my knowledge
and understanding in.
I would like to participate in this class because it would give me the opportunity to
experience a college campus as well as learn valuable skills to help prepare me for
college. I am very interested in this course because I would be able to broaden my
point of view on current affairs and gain more knowledge on them. This course is
something I would fully commit to by taking out the time to make sure I thoroughly
understand the material and by completing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

I would also like this oppurtunity in order to earn a transferable college credit. In
school we cover current topics very briefly and I think this class would be a good
way to really dive in and learn more about social and political issues. I would also
like to be given this opportunity because I would be able to participate in
discussions and activities where I can improve my argumentative skills which is
valuable skill that I believe is needed in college.
I think current issues is a very important topic because it affects my life greatly.
Seeing as I am part of the next generation and this world is something me along
with my peers will inherit. I believe it is my responsibility to educate myself on
current issues and expose myself to the point of views of others. Also many social
and political issues directly affect my life as well as many others. One example is
police brutality, it

Hopelessness In Flint
The small choice made by Flint city council to save $1.5 million per year, has now
turned into a situation with a bigger price tag. Some have estimated this disaster may
cost up to, or over, $45 million to fix. Citizens throughout the city of Flint put their
trust into their government. Now they have lead in their blood, and will lose
community resources to make up for the costs of this outbreak. Abraham Lincoln
once said This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it.
Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their
constitutional right of amending it, or exercise their revolutionary right to overthrow
it. The people of Flint are very upset and feel betrayed by the government. A large
group of citizens are seeking arrests and other actions against government officials
and agencies, including the governor himself.
Others may argue the city council was trying to help the city out and boost their
economy with the money they would save. This is true; officials were trying to better
the city by buying their water from the City of Detroit. Supporters of the plan
believed that the future plan ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Quite easily the city council could have let the citizens in the community vote on
this topic of decision. The council also could have had a backup plan just in case
this disaster would occur, which it actually did. There are so many ways this
situation could have been handled, yet no precautions took place. The Flint water
crisis was a tragedy felt by hundreds of thousands and will affect some for the rest of
their lives. A simple plan to conserve money, has now caused an economic crisis. Ten
citizens have lost their lives due to a disease linked to the toxic water. Other citizens
are left stranded without water, some now infected with lead poisoning. The time of
the government rebuilding trust and a relationship with their citizens is
unforeseeable in the near

Political Campaign Analysis
During the campaigning process, both candidates took different approaches in
regards to gaining support for their political campaign. Bryan traveled all over the
country, traveling 18,000 miles, giving whistle stop speeches, while McKinley
conducted a front porch campaign in Canton, Ohio, partly because he didn t want to
leave his ailing wife. (McKinley Memorial Library) Despite McKinley being unable
to travel around the nation, over 750,000 people came to Canton, Ohio to listen to
his speech. Newspapers and publishing companies reprinted his speeches. McKinley
s campaign is known to be the First Modern Campaign. It was the first campaign in
history to give out campaign buttons, ribbons, and memorabilia including soap
babies, umbrellas, and walking sticks. In the Presidential Podcast, William McKinley:
The Modern Campaign discussed how a big interest of McKinley s campaign was
focused on the working man and how the capitol could take of itself. McKinley had a
natural empathy for the working class that was expressed in many of his actions
throughout his life. (Cunningham, 2016) He won the election of 1896 by popular
vote with over 600,000 and one third more than William Jennings Bryan, becoming
the 25th President of the United States. It was the largest triumph in 25 years.... Show

Article 226 And The High Courts
The Supreme Court under Article 32 and the High Courts under Article 226 of the
Constitution have passed a number of orders and directions for this concern. Like
the conversion of all public transport in the Metropolitan City of Delhi from diesel
engine to CNG engine on the basis of the order of the High Court of Delhi to ensure
that the pollutionlevel is mitigated and this is being totally observed for the last
several years. Now only vehicles running on Compressed Natural Gas are given
permission to ply on Delhi roads for public transport.
Louise Erdrich Bigogress, who is an environmentalist has quite aptly observed that
grass and sky are two canvasses into which the rich details of the earth are drawn. In
1980s, the courts paid special attention to the problem of environmental degradation
and passed a number of directions and orders to make sure the that environment
ecology, wildlife are saved, preserved and protected. Every day hundreds of
thousands of industries are functioning without pollution control procudures. Lakhs
of Indians work in mines and do hazardous work without proper safety protection.
Each day lakhs of litres of harmful raw discharged effluents are dumped into our
rivers and lakhs of tons of hazardous waste is simply dumped on the Earth. The
environment around us, as a result become so degraded, that instead of nurturing us it
is now poisoning us. In this context, in many cases, the Supreme Court has intervened
in the issued and has issued many

Marriage Is An Important Part Of Their Culture And
Heritage
Marriage Culture For certain countries arranged marriage is an important part of
their culture and heritage. Like in the essay What s Love Got to Do with It? by
Anjula Razdan, Anjula s family that immigrated to America from the country of
India believed in arranged marriage because that was the culture they were a part of
before they left India. In India the grandfather chooses who he thinks is the best
suitable partner for his grandchild, which is nothing like how Americans choose their
life partners. While Americans believe in marrying for love, that might not be the
best way of marriagefor other countries due to familyreactions, success rates, and the
benefits of marriage. The family s reaction is a very important part of marriage.
How your family feels about your soon to be husband or wife helps to show if the
marriage is a good or bad idea. In arranged marriage the family chooses who they
think will benefit you and them the most, and most of the time your parents do
know what is best for you. Even though in arranged marriage you are marrying a
complete stranger, most arranged marriages grow stronger and fall more in love
the longer the marriage lasts and if the couple has had children also plays a role in
if the marriage will last or not. Arranged marriages can be useful by bringing two
families together through marriage or to make an alliance between two families, for
example the essay What s Love Got To Do With It? by Anjula Razdan ... arranged
