We are all aware about the River Pollution is occurring globally, due to which,
worldwide effect of River Pollution have become regular phenomena. India is
also facing the regular Impact of River Pollution. We may need to eliminate,
avoid or reduce the River Pollution for sustainable Social Development. Though
there are some mechanisms for Planning of Sustainable Development on River
Pollution for combating the importance of the same, and subsequent Disasters.
However, criticism is often voiced that this system does not effectively face the
challenges posed by the disasters in the current era of scientific and
technological advancement. We need to have an appropriate scientific planning
by people’s participation, for Elimination / Reduction of River Pollution, and the
same has been institutionalized by starting the research on different aspects in
general. Also UGC is emphasizing on institutionalization of Climate Change &
Disaster Management.
Therefore, there is a need to critically examine our disaster management
planning and implementation, in terms of disaster preparedness, and suggest
measures to Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and make it more effective. India
needs huge manpower, having technical expertise, in the management of
disasters, certainly in terms of preparedness.
The present Seminar cum Field Visit Program, proposed to be held on “River
Cruise Seminar on River Pollution & Remedial Strategies”, considering
gradual River Pollution and its effect on the Society..
Objective of this Workshop:
Elimination or reduction of River Pollution
The objective of the program is to train the participants and generate the
Manpower and Awareness, also to motivate the participants to come forward to
carry out more research work on River Pollution. This will strengthen the skilled
manpower to work on the Remedial Strategies of River Pollution. The workshop
includes the Interaction of the Participants, which will involve the participants
directly in the hands on exercise in the Planning of Remedial Strategies of River
Pollution.
The speakers are internationally and nationally renowned, for working on
different aspects of Remedial Strategies of River Pollution.
Targeted Participants
The Organiser is expecting the application for participation in the Workshop from
the interested individuals from Policy Makers, Technocrats, Government Officers,
NGO Members, Academicians, Researchers, & Students, including Government
Agencies Working on Environmental Issues, including all interested persons
working in the relevant fields. The Seat Limit for 350 Participants only,
considering the capacity of Vessel.

ENTRE FOR DISASTER PREPAREDNESS & MANAGEMENT (CDPM)
has established in 2017, with an objective to aware and strengthen the
mass for Disaster Management. It’s a continuous process carrying out by
the Centre. This Centre is approaching towards the collaboration with no
boundary. The research work on disasters, its prediction and preparedness,
became essential for this Centre. The reputed academicians are getting involved
in this Centre for the benefit of the society.
