The need for sustainable affordable housing (SAH) has become increasingly important in recent years due to the growing concern over climate change and the need for more equitable access to housing. The paper examines the key challenges facing the development of SAH and proposes a range of strategies for addressing these challenges. Leveraging bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review methodologies, this article critically assesses existing research, 1) To explore the existing housing and sustainability research trend, 2) To identify the key obstacles of SAH, and 3) To propose effective strategies for addressing SAH. The analysis, of a comprehensive development selection, using the advanced search approach on Scopus and Mendeley database yielded (n=14) final primary data, which were also analysed. By synthesising existing knowledge and offering actionable recommendations, this paper contributes to advancing discourse and guiding future research and practice in the pursuit of sustainable and inclusive housing for all. This paper argues that SAH has the potential to deliver significant social, economic, and environmental benefits and that it should be a key priority for policymakers, developers, and communities alike.

CONCLUSION
SAH emerges as a vital cornerstone in advancing
inclusive environmental and community well-being.
By seamlessly integrating environmentally
sustainable practices, nurturing socio-economic
diversity, and placing residents' health and quality of
life at the forefront, SAH initiatives effectively
address the complex challenges of inefficiencies in
construction innovation, inefficient policy
frameworks, and financial constraints. Through these
concerted efforts, SAH not only propels the creation
of resilient and vibrant communities but also paves
the way for equitable societies to flourish across
generations.
