Breast cancer awareness 🌸 What is Breast Cancer? Breast cancer is an abnormal growth of cells in the breast tissue that can invade nearby tissue or spread (metastasize) to other parts of the body 📊 Epidemiology Most common cancer among women worldwide.
In India, 1 in 22 women is likely to develop breast cancer during her lifetime.
Increasing incidence, especially in urban areas and younger women (<50 years).
🧬 Risk Factors Age > 40 years
Family history of breast or ovarian cancer
Genetic mutations (BRCA1, BRCA2)
Early menarche / Late menopause Nulliparity or first pregnancy after 30
Obesity, alcohol, hormone therapy, and sedentary lifestyle
🔍 Warning Signs Lump or thickening in the breast or underarm
