2. What is a Case Study?? The use of case studies in education is a powerful teaching strategy that allows students to engage in real-world scenarios, develop problem-solving skills, and apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations. In depth analysis- A case study is a detailed exploration of a specific event, situation, individual, or group . Purposeful exploration- It aims to understand complex issues, test theories, and inform future practices .

3. Types of Case Studies Exploratory Initial investigation to define questions and hypotheses. Explanatory Aims to explain cause-and-effect relationships. Descriptive Provides a detailed account of a phenomenon. Intrinsic Focuses on a case due to its inherent interest.

4. Uses in Education Students actively engage with real-world scenarios. Developing critical thinking, analyzing problems, and proposing solutions. Enhancing problem-solving skills, applying theory to practice. Fostering collaboration, working in groups to analyze cases.

8. Few examples-   Priya is newly appointed teacher in school. She is class teacher of 7 th std class. During introduction session she found that students of her class are very shy. No one is active; No one can help each other, no one having leadership qualities. Question- What activities should Priya plan for developing personality and leadership qualities in students.   Case Study/Unseen Passage:   Democracy is the way of running a government. In democracy, the ultimate power of government lies with the people. Since all the people cannot participate in the government onetime. People elect their representative by voting a suitable person through elections. The representative has elected for a term of five years. At the end of the term the representatives have to face elections once again. In this way people control the government run.   Q. 1 What is mean by Democracy? Q.2 How will you inculcate the democracy values among the students while teaching?

9. Few more examples- In a school Mrs . Amreen a newly joined teaches 5 th std. She is an excellent teacher teaching by traditional method. Student were not finding her lecture interesting and interactive. She can make her class more interesting by including ICT skills. As a ICT teacher help Mrs . Amreen how she can make her class interesting. Write details of Application software ?   IV Case Study/Unseen Passage   Sheetal Teacher is new in the school, but is having teaching experience of 15 yrs. She observed that the students of 9 th standard are not showing team spirit. Which activities you will suggest for developing Team Spirit in these students? 10

10. Example- IV Case Study/Unseen Passage   In a government school all teachers were very energetic and enthusiastic. Teachers were very committed and punctual to their work. The school stands in 3 rd position for its performance of students and quality work. During a committee visit they had suggested for various training program for teachers. School had then planned various training for teachers of all subjects. Also they had asked teachers to attend conferences and seminars.   As a math teacher do you think is it good that committee had suggested for training program? Discuss any two professional development program in details.

12. Conclusion Using case studies in education provides numerous benefits, such as improving critical thinking, communication, research, and real-world problem-solving skills. They also make learning more engaging and interactive, ensuring students are better prepared for their future careers .
