CDL Skills Offset Left to Right

You may be asked to maneuver your vehicle into a
space that is to the left of your vehicle during your CDL Skills Test.. You
are to drive forward then back into that space without striking the side or rear boundaries marked by cones. You are to place your vehicle completely
into the space.

1. Turn Hard Right and Pull
Forward Until Driver’s
Right Shoulder is Even
with Outside Line of Cones
(#2 Marker ). STOP.
Pull Forward Until
Trailer Tandems are
Centered on Second
Cone, Middle Row
(#1 Marker ).
STOP.
OFFSET P ARK (Left to Right)
1 2 Turn Hard Right and Pull Forward Until Truck is
Directly in Front of
Trailer. STOP.
Straighten Wheel.
Straight Back into
Right Lane.
NOTE: If Vehicle is not
Lined Up to Proceed
Straight Back, Make Small
Adjustments While Backing.
Stop Vehicle When Front
Bumper is Behind First Cone
to Avoid Encroaching
Rear Wall
The Offset Maneuver has
no Rear Bumper Box.
4Turn Hard Left and Pull
Forward Until Driver
Can Barely See First
Cone, Middle Row.
(#3 Marker ).
STOP.
