About This Presentation

Manners for Students of the knowledge of Islam

Slide Content

Use the toilet before leaving home,
even if you don’t feel the need.
Perform wudhu with all the
sunnahs, especially the miswak,
while keeping the reward of wudhu
in mind.
Don’t forget to bring your book bag,
boys should remember their hats.
Do not bring in any additional items.
Say Salam to everyone at home
before you leave and exit with your
right foot while reading the Dua.
Wear your clean and fresh uniform,
including your socks, right side first,
then left.

O Allah, I am going to Your house to
study Your Deen, so accept it from
me, bless me with the knowledge of
Deen, and be pleased with me.
Read Istighfaar, Durood, and Quran
on your way.
Greet elders and youngsters with a
smile and say Salam.
If traveling by car, recite the Dua if
you know it, and read some of the
Adhkar. Listen to the recitation of
the Quran.
Walk carefully, avoid running, and
be extra cautious when crossing the
road. Do not touch or damage
anyone’s property on the way.

Say Salam to your parents, thank
them for dropping you off, and give
them a hug if possible, before they
leave.
Do not wonder off once your
parents have dropped you off.
Anything can happen to you.
Say Salam to your teachers, the
caretaker, and fellow students.
Always smile, it’s a sunnah!
Remove your left shoe first, then the
right, and place them neatly. Keep
your bag off the floor while doing
this. We should not place the name
of Allah on the floor.
Step into the masjid with your right
foot with respect, recite the Dua (O
Allah, open for me the doors of Your
mercy), and thank Allah for the
blessing of being in His house.

Walk calmly to your class without
running or bumping into others.
Remind yourself that I am in Allah’s
house. Therefore, no foul language.
When ascending stairs, stay on the
right, recite "Allahu Akbar," and
reflect on Allah’s greatness.
Always remember the sanctity and
respect of the masjid, even in the
hallways.
Avoid shouting or loud
conversations in the corridors.
Say Salam to everyone you pass in
the corridor. For every salam you
give, the angels will pray for you,
and you will be rewarded.

Walk in with a smile, say Bismillah,
and enter with your right foot.
Remember, its your classroom, so
look after it and ensure it is always
clean.
Say Salam to everyone, especially
your teacher.
Sit respectfully, without leaning on
the wall or bench, throughout the
lesson. It is disrespectful to lean on
our books.
Place your bag and books gently on
the bench. Open you Qaidah, Juz
Amma and Qur’an gently.
If class has started and the door is
closed, knock gently, enter with
Salam, and open the door gently.

Recite Durood Shareef before
studying and make dua to Allah for
beneficial knowledge and ease.
Durood Shareef is extremely
powerful.
Open your Qaidah, Juz Amma, or
Quran without wasting time.
Remember to read Ta’awwudh and
Tasmiyyah at the beginning.
Once you’re ready and confident
that you have learnt it, inform your
teacher without waiting to be
called.
Don’t hesitate to ask your teacher
for help, if you haven’t understood
the lesson, don’t be shy or scared to
ask your teacher again and again.
Repeat your sabaq at least 40 times
before going to your teacher. For Juz
Amma and Quran reciters, aim for
fluency with Tajweed, practicing
each line at least 10 times.

Use the toilet before coming to
madrasah, but don’t hold it in if
needed.
Don’t use toilet breaks as a
distraction. Go quickly and return
promptly.
Wash your hands afterward, and for
Juz Amma and Quran students,
perform your wudhu carefully.
Follow the proper etiquettes of
using the toilet, and ensure it’s clean
when you leave.
Take off your socks and leave them
in class before using the toilet.

We expect a high standard of
behaviour in class. Good conduct
will benefit you in all areas of life.
You are here to learn; concentrate
on your studies and avoid
distractions.
Be mindful of everyone's feelings. If
you hurt someone, apologise
sincerely and avoid repeating the
mistake.
Bullying is not tolerated. If you’re
hurt physically or verbally, tell your
teacher. If nothing is done, speak to
the headteacher or a teacher you
feel comfortable talking to.
If someone tries to distract you, stay
focused. If it persists, inform your
teacher.

Our teachers play a crucial role in
our lives by teaching us Deen. Show
them the utmost respect. The more
respect we have for our teachers,
the more we will succeed in life.
Never raise your voice or speak
disrespectfully to your teachers. If
you need to clarify a
misunderstanding, do it calmly and
respectfully. Do not talk back!
Continuously make dua for your
teachers and say Jazaakumullah at
the end of each lesson.
Always appreciate your teachers for
teaching you the words of Allah, the
Quran. Your teachers will be one of
the means of your entry into Jannah
insha Allah.
Always sit respectfully in front of
your teachers. Don’t lean, talk to
others, or engage in other activities
during lessons. The best way to sit,
is the Tashahud position.

Remain silent so you can hear your
name. Don’t leave the masjid unless
your name is called. If you leave by
mistake, return to the masjid if your
parents aren’t here.
Give Salam to your teachers,
classmates, and other staff before
leaving.
Don’t hang around the masjid at
home time and avoid walking
through the car park and alleyway.
Older students should maintain
respectful boundaries between the
opposite gender.
Smile and greet your parents with
Salam when you see them, and do
the same when you enter your
house.
Walk quietly on the right-hand side
and avoid making noise and running
down the stairs. Recite
"SubhaanAllah" as you descend.
