2 DepEd Order No. 010, s. 2024 Policy Guidelines on the Implementation of the MATATAG Curriculum In K-3, classes shall be self-contained. There shall be one teacher responsible for teaching all domains in Kindergarten, and all learning areas in Grades 1 and 2. For Grades 3-6, classes shall be departmentalized, taking into account the teachers’ area of specialization (SF 7 may be inspected). Kindergarten Domains: Socio-emotional Development Values Development Aesthetic/Creative Development Physical Health and Motor Development Language Literacy and Comm. Dev’t Cognitive Development Grade 1 learning areas: Language Reading and Literacy Mathematics GMRC Makabansa Grade 2 learning areas: Filipino English Mathematics GMRC Makabansa Grade 3 learning areas: Filipino English Mathematics Science GMRC Makabansa

3 DepEd Order No. 012, s. 2024 Amendment to DepEd Order No. 010, s. 2024 (Policy Guidelines on the Implementation of the MATATAG Curriculum) Schools are given the flexibility in the implementation of the MATATAG Curriculum in consideration of their specific contexts , such as, but not limited to, typology, curricular program offerings, and the availability of teachers and classrooms, subject to the following: All learning areas for 45 minutes a day each for five days, and the Homeroom Guidance Program for 45 minutes once a week Learning areas may be given uniform time allotments of 50, 55, or 60 minutes per learning area based on the following: Five times a week (English, Mathematics, Science, and GMRC/VE); Four times a week (EPP/TLE, MAPEH, AP, and Filipino); and Once a week HGP

In circumstances where any of the given options is not applicable, schools may propose other combinations, provided that T he learning contact time is at least five hours and 30 minutes a day (all subjects); T he time allotment for English, Mathematics, Science, and GMRC/VE shall not be less than 225 minutes per week (45 mins. per day for 5 days, or other configurations) The time allotment for EPP/TLE, MAPEH, Aral. Pan., and Filipino shall not be less than 200 minutes per week (50 mins. per day for 4 days) The time allotment for the HGP shall not be less than 45 mins. per we ek.
