PRESENTATION O N Four parts of communication skills

Communication Communication is a two-way process which involves transferring of information or messages from one person or group to another. This process goes on and includes a minimum of one sender and receiver to pass on the messages. These messages can either be any ideas, imagination, emotions, or thoughts. The four types of communication are :- Verbal Communication Non-Verbal Communication Visual Communication Written Communication

Verbal Communication Verbal communication refers to the use of language to convey information. Verbal communication skills represent more than speaking abilities—they demonstrate how you deliver and receive messages in both speaking and written interactions. These skills focus on how you communicate rather than what you say. Because of this, you can utilize nonverbal techniques such as body language to enhance your interactions. Examples of effective verbal communication skills include:- Active listening Asking for clarification Asking open-ended questions to gain insights Recognizing and responding to nonverbal cues Speaking clearly and concisely Using humor to engage audiences

Nonverbal communication (NVC) is the transmission of messages or signals through a nonverbal platform such as eye contact (oculesics), body language (kinesics), social distance (proxemics), touch (haptics), voice (paralanguage), physical environments/appearance, and use of objects. When communicating, we utilize nonverbal channels as means to convey different messages or signals, whereas others can interpret these message. Examples of Non-verbal communication skills include:- Facial expressions Eye contact Subtle (and not so subtle) gestures Tone of voice Touch Posture Personal space Non-Verbal Communication

Visual Communication Visual communication is storytelling; it’s how we communicate information and create experiences across a range of visual mediums. It can be found within design, illustration, photography, art and advertising; it could be an image, a quote, a campaign, a film or an animation. Great visual communication has the power to inform, educate, challenge, provoke and even change behaviour using visual materials. Examples of Visual communication skills include:- Screenshots. Screen recordings. Videos. Pie charts. Infographics. Data visualizations. Slide decks.

Written Communication Written communication skills refer to the ability to convey information effectively and clearly through written text. It involves using appropriate language, tone, and style to communicate the intended message, while also taking into account the audience and purpose of the communication. Examples of Written communication skills include:- Emails. Text messages. Blog posts. Business letters. Reports. Proposals. Contracts. Job descriptions.
