A very good and warm morning to everyone gathered here. I’m …………………, and I’m
………………………….
It’s our privilege to host and anchor this magnificent event – the ………………… College
Fest celebration of ……………………………. College.
We are delighted to welcome you all to this special occasion. I kindly request all the
dignitaries to take their seats on the dais.
1. It is a mark of our sacred tradition to invoke the Almighty at the start of an important event.
As the great philosopher Søren Kierkegaard once said, “The function of prayer is not to
influence God, but rather to change the nature of the one who prays.”
I now invite Ms. Sushmitha and her group to offer a prayer.
Thank you team – we truly feel blessed!
2. I would like to invite …………………., Lecturer, Department of …………………., to
formally welcome the gathering.
Thank you, sir/ma’am, for your warm and gracious welcome address.
3.

A ray of light is a ray of hope.
Let us all step away from the darkness and walk towards the bright path ahead.
Now, let us begin our traditional Lamp Lighting Ceremony as a tribute to Goddess
Saraswati, the divine source of knowledge and wisdom.
I request all the dignitaries on the dais to please come forward and light the lamp to mark
the symbolic inauguration of our fest.
(Mother, with all humility we seek your blessings – bless us with wisdom to make the world a
better place. May all humans live in harmony with nature and each other. May truth triumph.
May ignorance be dispelled with the dawn of self-realisation.)
Thank you, everyone.
4.
Henry Ford once said, “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress;
working together is success.”
Indeed, this spirit of teamwork is what has brought us to where we are today. The collective
efforts behind Vidyavahini’s growth are commendable.
Now, I would like to invite Mr. …………………….. to present the Progress Report.
Thank you, sir, for the insightful report. We all surely feel proud and dignified.
5.
I now request our Special Invitee, Sri ………………… , to address the gathering.
(I kindly request you to accept this memento as a token of our love and respect.)
Your words will certainly inspire us to dream bigger and work harder. Thank you, sir.
6.
Education today goes far beyond the four walls of a classroom. It’s about creating
awareness – not just among students but the general public as well.
Understanding this, our college has taken an important step in this direction – an exclusive
website created by the students of …………………, dedicated to ……………………….
I now invite Sri ………………… , President and Founder of ……………………………………,
to launch the website.
Thank you, sir.
7.
I now invite our Chief Guest, Sri ………………… , to share a few words with us.
Thank you, sir.
8.
I humbly invite our respected faculty members to kindly guide and inspire the students
with their valuable words.
Thank you, sir/ma’am.
9.
Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “The reward of a thing well done is to have done it.” But
when we fail to recognise and appreciate achievements, we miss our duty.
I now call upon Sri ………………… to announce the winners of the sports competitions.
I also request our dignitaries to kindly distribute the prizes.
Let’s celebrate their achievements with a big round of applause!
10.
I now request our Principal, Sri ………………… , to kindly address the gathering with a few
words.
Thank you, sir.
11.
Now, I would like to invite our Secretary, Sri ………………… , a visionary, a beacon of
knowledge and inspiration to all of us, to please share his enlightening thoughts.
Thank you for your valuable words, sir.
12.
Next, I have the honour of calling upon our Founder and Secretary, Sri ………………… , a
mentor to many, an erudite scholar, and a guiding force behind this institution, to share his
thoughts.
Thank you, sir.
13.
As with all beautiful things, this event too must come to an end.
As someone rightly said, “We often receive far more than we give – and it is gratitude that
makes life rich.”
I request Sri ………………… , from the Department of ………………… , to propose the Vote
of Thanks on behalf of us all.
