What if……? English Chapter 7

What is the first conditional? The  first conditional, also known as  type I if-clause , talks about future actions that can only occur providing that a certain condition is fulfilled. This condition is expressed in the if-clause. It is also known as the  real conditional  because it refers to realistic possibilities. Example: If we  will cancel  the picnic, it  rains  tomorrow, there is a real chance that it will rain tomorrow, but it is not 100% guaranteed

Type One Conditional Sentences (open condition) => This type of sentence expresses real and possible situations in the future; it is possible for the condition to be met. => Main part: will + infinitive;  if  part: Present Simple

Examples: We  will stay  at home  if  it snows. I f She  will get  angry, I‘m late for the party. If  we  get  the money for this job, we  will  buy a new car. W e  get  the money for this job, if we  will  buy a new car   Will  you  help  Amanda  if  she asks you?

1) I have two job offers and I don’t know which one to accept. 2) I  won’t have  much free time if I  work  there. 3) If the community center, she   won’t earn  very much. 3) I  will make  a difference if everyone   work  with the local community. 4) If I  don’t decide  soon, they  will take  back their offers!
