•Keep camera focus fixed at the center of pack.
•The camera should be set up according to the
largest pack in the survey
•Lighting should be consistent across all pack areas, generally front lighting, not side
or back
•Picture resolution should at least be 1000pixel width, 1000pixel height and 72 dpi.
•Picture files should be named after a simple naming convention:
File name should not contain space or non latincharacters, use substitionsfor
packtypeslike RGBfor returnable glass bottle. (MgCola_RGB_300ml.jpg,
ForteGrape_CAN_250ml.jpg)

Photography Guide
•Do not change camera set-up until all products are shot. The
visuals you provide play a very important role in the study,
make sure that none of the shooting settings have changed
during the process (like zoom level, distance, exposure etc).
•Use same solid background for all shots, preferably one that
has a different color from all the packs.
•Make sure the packs are facing the camera directly, i.e. they
are not skewed/rotated. The brand name should be viewable
where possible.

Computer Specifications
•The conjoint studies require:
•a tablet (10"+) or laptop (13"+) as you know.
•All devices must have internet connection. If there is internet connection in all devices data
will be automatically collected and we can check the field status and quotas from our server.
•If there is an issue with internet access, field tracking can be delayed by one day. At the end
of the day, all devices are gathered at a location with internet access, and the survey data
backed up in the device memory can be transferred to our Servers. We will train supervisor on
how to do that.
•We use the Sawtooth software solution for the conjoint and scripting phases.
•We will be doing the scripting phases and will need fieldwork and translation support from you.
