1. Course Utility By studying this course, students are expected to know and understand about theory of linguistics for translator and
interpreter and able to be a translator and an interpreter
2. Course Description Mata kuliah ini memberikan pengetahuan tentang theory of linguistics for translator and interpreter dan memberikan
latihan menterjemahkan text ( linguistics text) dari source language ( SL) ke target language ( TL) both as a translator
and an interpreter
3. Competences Standard Competence
After following this course, the students are able to translate and interpret the text especially in linguistics terms from
source language ( SL) to the target language ( TL)
Basic Competence
At the end of the course,:
1. Students understand about linguistics , interpreting and translation
2. Students are able to be an interpreter
3. Students are able to be an a translator

Group Assignment :
for each group who does not present the paper should submit self-report based on their own reading related to the
topic that will be taught and presented on the meeting it must be collected before the class is begun. For the group who
present the material on the day should make a paper about selected materials and present it in front of the class in form
of Ms. Power Point

9. Norms Academic
a. Learning process starts on time on the schedule Students are permitted to come late just 10 minutes
b. Students’ attendance in learning process should be 80 % (13 meetings )
c. Collecting the assignment must be in its schedule.
d. Students who cheat in making their assignment; their assignment will not accepted
e. Students should use polite language when speaking orally or verbally to the lecturer and others students
f. Be polite during learning process
