FORMS OF ART Painting is the practice of applying paint, pigment, color or other medium to a solid surface . Sculpture is the branch of the visual arts that operates in three dimensions. It is one of the plastic arts. Architecture is the art and technique of designing and building, as distinguished from the skills associated with construction . Literature broadly is any collection of written work, but it is also used more narrowly for writings specifically considered to be an art form, especially prose fiction, drama, and poetry.
FORMS OF ART 4. Art cinema is often defined as an artistic or experimental work expressing symbolic meaning through the medium of film . 5. Music is the art of arranging sounds in time through the elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre . 6. Theatre or theater is a collaborative form of performing art that uses live performers, usually actors or actresses, to present the experience of a real or imagined event before a live audience in a specific place, often a stage . 7. Nicknamed the "Grand Old Man of Philippine Art," he was the first-ever to be recognized as a National Artist of the Philippines.
