MEANING G ardening means growing plants, like flowers, vegetables, or herbs, in a garden or pots, and taking care of them. It's a fun activity that can teach them about nature, responsibility and patience.

Learning about nature: Gardening helps children understand where their food comes from and how plants grow.
Responsibility: Caring for plants teaches kids about responsibility and the importance of nurturing things.
Patience: Growing plants takes time, which teaches kids about patience and perseverance.
Physical activity: Gardening can be a great way for kids to get some exercise.
Creative expression: Kids can decorate their gardens with colourful plants and pots, allowing for creativity.
Sense of accomplishment: Seeing their plants grow and bloom can give kids a sense of accomplishment and pride. Importance of gardening

We conduct various fun activities related to child’s immediate environment such as :- 1. Planting saplings on Environment Day using techniques taught in gardening class and connecting skills to real life activities. 2. Making fruit punch summer drink using seasonal fruits grown in school garden as a part of gardening subjects. This will involve community and promote harmony too. How do we integrate Gardening with other activities ?

A virtual walk to our school garden We have a garden in our school offering fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs grown by students in gardening classes. We have variety of fruits like guava, pomegranate ; vegetables like brinjal , tomato, sugarcane, chilli ; pulses like green gram ; spice like turmeric ; herbs like tulsi ; flowers like ixora , rose etc Here are some pictures and videos of the garden
