Why the UN SDGs Matter to Me ​ My research emphasized that the SDGs are not just theoretical concepts but practical guidelines for addressing real-world challenges. ​ During World Africa Day on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Clifton Global Lounge, I saw firsthand the impact of social initiatives aimed at addressing inequalities. Contributing to the SDGs in My Career Impact Through Sustainability ​ Reflecting on my experiences, I aim to make a meaningful impact in my profession by integrating sustainable practices and promoting ethical business. ​ My Global-Local Approach For example, I plan to focus on bridging global business strategies with local needs, as demonstrated in events like Personal Development Day, where I learned skills in ethical decision-making. My vision is to lead cross-cultural teams that prioritize ethical decision-making, drawing inspiration from experiences like Thornbridge on January 24, 2024, where I observed the importance of aligning team efforts with core ethical values. Participating in the Growth Professional Confidence Workshop on April 16, 2024, further strengthened my commitment to responsible leadership, equipping me with skills to balance business goals with ethical standards. Through activities such as Personal Development Day on April 17, 2024, I have also learned to incorporate sustainable strategies that address both global and local needs, ensuring that my professional contributions positively impact society. 7

8. Teamwork Problem-Solving Experience ISSUE In a university project, I led a team tasked with creating a market strategy. We faced challenges with communication and time management, resulting in rushed work and missed deadlines SOLUTION To address these issues, I organized additional meetings and encouraged open dialogue, which helped us complete the project successfully. 10. Traits of Successful Managers In my opinion, the top three characteristics of successful managers are adaptability, integrity, and strong communication skills. Adaptability allows managers to handle unexpected challenges, integrity fosters team trust, and effective communication ensures clarity on objectives. These traits have become personal goals as I continue to refine my leadership style, inspired by experiences like Global Week and World Africa Day, where I observed these qualities in action. 10

11. Self-Reflection on Management Qualities I believe I reflect strong integrity and communication skills but seek to improve my adaptability. Experiences like the Growth Professional Confidence Workshop have shown me the value of resilience and flexibility, skills I am actively working to strengthen. My focus is on cultivating these traits to create a positive and high-performing work environment in the future. 11
