2. Curriculum Implementation Division What is CRLA? It is a Comprehensive Rapid Literacy Assessment developed by the ABC + Advancing Basic Education in the Philippines with the support of the U.S Agency For International Development (USAID) and with the technical guidance of the Department of Education. It was initially conceived as a 5 minute start-up reading assessment designed to help teachers quickly determine the reading profiles of the grade 1-3 learners, and develop appropriate reading instructional strategies.
