The C ensus and S urvey Pro cessing System ( CSPro ) is a free software package for entering, editing, tabulating, and disseminating data from censuses and other surveys. PAGE 2 What is CSPro ?

CSPro was designed and implemented through a joint effort among the developers of Integrated Microcomputer Processing System (IMPS) and Integrated System for Survey Analysis ( ISSA): the United States Census Bureau, Macro International, and Serpro , S.A. Funding for the development is provided by the Office of Population of the United States Agency for International Development. CSPro is designed to eventually replace both IMPS and ISSA.  PAGE 3 History

CSPro 2.0 (the first version) released on May 5, 2000 CSPro 3.x (2005) included a much more powerful tabulation system CSPro 4.0 (2008) added support for PDA devices Most recent version ( CSPro 4.1) released on May 5, 2011 CSPro 4.1 (2011) added additional tools for CAPI operations on portable computers such as tablets CSPro 5.1 (July, 2012) CSPro 5.2 Latest version (December, 2012) PAGE 4 Release History

With low-cost computers proliferating (tablets, smartphones), will there be another paradigm shift in the future ? The Android support first beta version will be released at the end of the year. And the production version will be available in 2014. PAGE 6 Future?
