Work Experience 2007 – 2011
VENEZUELAN CORPORATION OF ALUMINIUM (CVG VENALUM)
Puerto Ordaz – Venezuela
June 2011 – September 2011
Internship Program as Research and Development Engineer
Investigation and Development Department of CVG Venalum
During the current period carried out studies in the following areas:
Electromagnetic Theory and Induction Heater principles
·The utility of the induced current to the design an induction furnace taking into account
aspects such as: skin depth, frequency, electric power, etc.
·Understanding of how the magnetic field is applied to generate induced electric current as
well as how the electric field is linked with the magnetic field developing Maxwell equations.
·Development of a build process of Induction Heater by means of equations and procedures
of construction.
Induction Heater Control System
·Carried out with the concept of the feedback loop to control the frequency which is given by
the AC/DC Inverter.
·Controlled design of the loop based on Phase-locked loop (PLL) to maintain the maximum
transferred power.
·A wide review about the different architectures of inverters.
In addition to the study, carried out the following activities:
·Determination of the electric power which must be used to melt the aluminium adhered to
the siphon by means of an average of volume measures in order to design the whole system
·Study of the production of aluminum in CVG Venalum (Proposed by the Tutor to
understand the integral process)
·Testing of the power switches and studies about theirs to select the most indicated to the
application, taking in count the price, the efficient, and the durability
·Developed PCB design for each module: Power supply, Inverter, Control, Tank Circuit
using Altium Release 10 and Isis Proteus, plus ScketchUp 8.

·Developed a prototype that melted 64g of Aluminium.
POLYTECHNIC EXPERIMENTAL NATIONAL UNIVERSITY ANTONIO JOSE DE SUCRE (UNEXPO)
Electronic School, Puerto Ordaz – Venezuela
October 2010 September 2011
Programming and Development Engineer
Social Work to Develop two wireless display board in the
community Baseball Stadium of Villa Asia
During this time the following activities were carried out:
·Design of circuitries which forms the system of both of display boards and control.
·Modeling of circuitries on the computer carried out with Isis Proteus and SketchUp 8
·Development and testing of the PCB designed previously
·Configuration of Xbee© series 2 and 1 to receive and transmit the information between
control and display board
·Developed an algorithm to detect faulty transmission and to manage the whole process of
displaying the information on 7-segment displays, including the control program
