“While DMOS was largely based on the Chicago Manual of Style , which has been the prescribed manual for most publishing institutions that use American English, it also integrated the DepEd House Style that includes common usage within the Department or unique decisions made for specific and practical purposes. As I have reiterated in the past, the world is continuously changing. The same is true with the evolving and developing rules of communication. As such, this manual will be updated as the need arises .” - Briones
