Department of IT Year of Establishment-2018 Netaji Subhas University

About Department We the department of Information Technology was started in 2018 to inculcate academic excellence in which new ideas, research and scholarship flourish to lead the innovations of IT industries. The Information Technology is one of the most emerging programme in Netaji Subhas University. The four year under graduate programme in Information Technology is intended to train the students in both basic courses and advanced courses based on current technology.  We have a team of highly qualified and dedicated teaching faculty well supported by a group of Technical support staff keeping campus integrated as knowledge base for the department. Department management periodically upgrade to the latest software and hardware to keep them in pace for the betterment of the students. The necessary licensed software and internet facilities are available for all students. Besides imparting theoretical knowledge, the programme inculcates personality development skills, logical reasoning, analytical thinking, communication skills, problem solving skills and teamwork capabilities.

Department of IT VISION To achieve global standards in quality of Education, Research and Development in Information Technology by adapting to the rapid technological advancement. MISSION To produce technologically competent and ethically responsible graduates through balanced and dynamic curriculum. To take up creative research in collaboration with Government, Industries and professional societies to make the nation as a knowledge-power. To produce successful graduates with personal and professional responsibilities and commitment to lifelong learning.

Academic Calendar of the Department

Parents-Teacher Meeting (PTM) 1. A short meeting or conference between the parents and teachers of students to discuss a student’s progress at University and find solutions to academic or behavioral problems. 2. The meeting comprises of discussions like An overview of student's work and his coping skills. Student's conduct in class and with their social skills with peers. Areas of improvement and involvement in making those changes.

Feedback from Students Feedback from students can take many forms. The most immediate is what you observe on a day-to-day basis as attention, participation, comments, questions, body language and other behaviors in a classroom or in other interactions with students. Feedback about teaching effectiveness comes from students in two basic forms: a.) Evidence of student learning outcomes from formal methods (tests, graded work, etc.) or informal methods (responses to questions, class work, etc.) and other assessments. b.) Solicited feedback about instructional process from surveys and other direct requests for information.

Significant Contribution to the University Solving complex organizational problems using technical solutions. Upgrading University websites. Deal mostly with software and hardware systems which includes: Theory Design Development Application .
