Atau, dalam Bahasa Indonesianya, descriptive text adalah jenis teks yang berisi deskripsi atau gambaran mengenai suatu objek secara terperinci (mendetail). Penggambaran objek dalam descriptive text dapat berupa penjabaran fisik maupun nonfisik, yang dapat memberikan pemahaman pembaca mengenai objek yang dibahas. Nah, objeknya ini bisa berupa orang, hewan, benda, atau tempat.

Identification Di bagian identification, berisi pengenalan objek yang ingin dideskripsikan. Misalnya, nama objek itu apa, dari mana objek itu berasal, atau siapa pemilik objek tersebut. Contoh: My father just bought a new car for me. That car has been long on my wishlist. Dari kalimat di atas, diketahui kalau objek yang dideskripsikan adalah car (mobil). Dan menjelaskan informasi secara umum, seperti mobil tersebut baru dibeli oleh ayah, serta merupakan barang yang diinginkan penulis sejak lama.

7. 2. Description Sementara itu, description berisi penjelasan yang lebih spesifik dari suatu objek. Kamu bisa menjabarkan sifat-sifat, atau ciri-ciri fisik dan nonfisik yang ada pada objek tersebut. Contoh: My new car is ne of the latest sport cars from Italy. The car is a two passenger-seat model or sedan car, the one seat is for the driver and the other is for a single passenger. Lalu, di bagian description, dijelaskan lebih rinci mengenai tampilan mobil tersebut. Mulai dari jenisnya sport car, dan punya model tempat duduk dua orang.

The pink color of its beach is a mixture of white sand beach colors mixed with crushed coral, shells, calcium carbonate from marine invertebrates that are very small, and also Foraminifera, microscopic amoeba that has a red body shell. At Pink Beach, there are so many marine organisms. No fewer than 1,000 species of fish, 260 species of coral, and 70 species of sponge can be found here. 10. Borobudur is one of historical buildings in Indonesia. It is considered to be the world’s largest Buddhist temple for its size (15129 m 2 ) and height (34.5m). It is located in Magelang , Central Java. Not only it became a well known tourism destination to a lot of travelers around the world, Borobudur Temple is also included in UNESCO list of world heritage site. Borobudur temple consists of six square floors and three circular floors which arranged accordingly and make it to be stair-like layers that you have to climb one by one to reach the top of the temple. In the middle of the floor, you will find small stairwell with couples of stairs connecting each floor that you can use as a passage to go to the top. On each level of the floor, there are a lot of  relief  panels and Buddha statues spread around it. Based on the data, there are 2.672 panels and 504 statues in total. There is a dome located on the top center of the temple and is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues, each seated inside a perforated  stupa . It is said that, if you place your hand into the stupa through one of its hole and you can touch the Buddha statue, you will be able to make one of your dream come true.
