COMMUNICATION Is an integral aspect of our lives. It underlies all human behavior and activities. And because communication is central in our lives and in the functioning of society in general, professions and industries have grown around the communication process.
COMMUNICATION Acoorinding to Harold Lasswell (1948) communication occurs when: a source sends a message through a channel or medium to a receiver producing some effect Source Message Channel Receiver Effect
ELEMENTS COMMUNICATION SENDER or SOURCE : These are person, groups, or institutions that create or produce the message.
ELEMENTS COMMUNICATION MESSAGE : the ideas or meaning, expressed in verbal or nonverbal means, that is transmitted from the source to the receiver . VERBAL Use of word to convey messages NON-VERBAL express meaning through codes such as facial expressions , color, distance (space), touch, pitch or loudness of sound .
ELEMENTS COMMUNICATION CHANNEL : the medium, such as radio, TV, social media, etc used to transmit the message.
ELEMENTS OF COMMUNICATION D. RECEIVER : the person, group, or institution to whom the message is intended .

In simple language, context means the setting of an event. You can think of context as all the information you need to know to truly understand something.
Often times, when thinking about the context of a situation, it’s a good idea to think about what you’d need to explain to an alien about a situation to get them caught-up on what’s going on.
ELEMENTS OF COMMUNICATION FEEDBACK : The response or reaction of the receiver to the message received . This can be verbal or nonverbal cues such as head nodding and body language. It can also be more forward, involving specific thoughts or pushback on what one party has said.

Seven C’s Principles of Effective Communication created by zarmina sadiq
There are 7 Cs in communication which serves as guiding principles in forming message, its style and importance so that it becomes more effective for the target audience.
1. Clear When writing or speaking to someone, be clear about your goal or message. What is your purpose in communicating with this person? If you’re not sure, then your audience won’t be sure either. People shouldn’t have to “read between the lines” and make assumptions on their own to understand what you’re trying to say.
Familiar words Pretentious words After subsequent Home domicile Pay remuneration Invoice statement of payment Clarity makes comprehension easier.
2. Concise When you’re concise in your communication, you stick and keep it brief. Your audience doesn’t want to read six sentences when you could communicate your message in three. Eliminate wordy expressions. Include only relevant material. Avoid unnecessary repetition. Single words instead of long phrases. For example: Due to the fact because In due course soon
3. Concrete Communicating concretely means being specific, definite, rather than unclear and general. It means your message is practical and useful. You provide the right amount of detail, and stay focused on your main message. Use specific facts and figures. Put Action in your Verbs. Choose vivid, image-building words.
4. Correct Your communication is free of errors and mistakes. If it is written, make sure you proofread it. When your communication is correct, it fits your audience.
5. Coherent When your communication is coherent, it’s in a logical order. All points are connected and relevant to the main topic, and the tone and flow of the text is consistent and well constructed.
6. Complete In a complete message, the audience has everything they need to be informed and if applicable, take action. Does your message include a “call to action”, so that your audience clearly knows what you want them to do? Have you included all relevant information-contact names, dates, times, locations, and so on?
7. Courteous Courteous communication is friendly, open, and honest, there are no hidden insults or passive-aggressive tones. You keep your reader’s viewpoint in mind, and you’re empathetic to their needs. Be Sincerely Tactful, Thoughtful and Appreciative. Use Expressions that Show Respect. Courtesy strengthens relationship
Focus on “you” attitude instead of “I” or “we”. Show reader/receiver benefit or interest in reader/receiver. Emphasize positive, pleasant facts. Apply integrity and ethic.
Additional Principles of Communication (According to Barker and Gaut 2002 Communication is an action. It is necessary for survival. It is for satisfaction of our needs.
