It’s review time!

Raise your smiley face , if it is a line segment and your sad face , if it’s not.

Is this a line segment?

Is this a line segment?

Activity Time!

At the end of the lesson, the learners must be able to: a. Define angle, angle pair and the different types of angles; b. Classify angles according to their measures; and c. Solve problems involving angles. Objectives:

What is an angle? 01

What is an angle? Angle is a union of two non-collinear rays with common endpoint. The two non-collinear rays are the sides of the angle while the common endpoint is the vertex. Angle Vertex sides

Types of angles 02

Right Angle - a right angle is an angle of exactly 90 degrees. Example: Types of angles

Acute Angle - is an angle smaller than a right angle. The range of acute angle are between 0 and 90 degrees but not exactly 90 degrees. Example: Types of angles

Obtuse Angle - is an angle which is more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees. Example: Types of angles

Activity Time!

- are two angles whose measures have a sum of 180 degrees. - are two angles whose measures have a sum of 90 degrees. Types of angle pairs Supplementary angles Complementary angles

Activities 3

Exercise 1 : By Pair TEST II. A.Instruction: Solve the complements of the angles whose measures are given below. 1. 13 degrees 2. 38 degrees B.Instruction: Solve the supplements of the angles whose measures are given below. 1. 46 degrees 2. 57 degrees

Answers:
A.
1. 77 degrees
2. 52 degrees
B.
1. 134 degrees
2. 123 degrees

Exercise 1 : Individual INSTRUCTION: Tell whether the measures of an angle belongs to acute or obtuse. Write A if it is an acute angle, and write O if it is obtuse. 1.91⁰ 2.45⁰ 3.179⁰ 4.56⁰ 5.123⁰

Answers: 1. O 2. A 3. O 4. A 5. O

Activity Time!

The class will be divided into four groups (count off). Each group will be given a task and present their work in front after 5 minutes. Group 1: Ilustrate obtuse angles using objects in the classroom. You will present 3 objects. Group 2: Illustrate right angles using a drawing based on real-life scenarios. Example, bus, trains, buildings, etc. You will also present 3 scenarios. Group 3: Illustrate acute angles using body language and body movements. You will also present 3 movements. Group 4: Share 3 situations that involves how angles are applied in our daily lives.

LET’S HAVE A QUIZ ! MIMME M. COMPRA

Instruction: Give the different types of polygons and write the characteristics of a polygon. Write it in a 1/2 sheet of paper and submit it on our next meeting. Assignment:
