2. Discipline simply means training someone to obey the rules and regulations. When it’s come to Discipline in Education, Schools set a code of conduct which is to be followed by the students in order to create an environment where students learn to be in discipline.

3. O n the other hand, if there is no discipline in the classroom the class environment becomes unhealthy and chaotic as everyone will get a license to misbehave that will not only create problems for themselves but also distract other students who sincerely want to learn and gain knowledge.

4. TYPES OF DISCIPLINE

5. 1. Preventative Discipline T eachers have to explain their expectations and set ground rules to ensure discipline. Measures taken in prior to prevent any unacceptable behavior is called preventative discipline. 

6. 2. Supportive Discipline It is possible that the preventive measures do not work as perfectly as expected and things may go wrong. At this point, the teachers may give warnings and show the students the right way of doing things. This is called supportive discipline. 

7. 3. Corrective discipline This comes after supportive discipline. When a student has failed to show any improvement despite numerous efforts at supportive discipline, corrective disciplinary actions come into play. Punishments such as suspension, and likewise fall under corrective discipline.

9. Reward Good Behaviour   A teacher should always reward the students who are well disciplined as it will encourage other students to behave well in the classroom.

Teachers should stay Professional   Many teachers in order to connect better become too friendly with the students and students started to take teachers order lightly and start misbehaving in the classroom so the teacher should always be professional and instead of becoming friends they should become a mentor to those students and guide them to be in discipline and achieve higher goals.

11. Get the school managements and parents involved early on. If there are discipline problems at the elementary school level, it can be helpful to get in touch with the school authorities and child’s parents. Think about doing this before the discipline problem becomes serious. Earlier intervention can redirect a child away from problematic behavior.

12. Conclusion We have discussed some ways to improve discipline in school. When we talk about how to maintain discipline in school, it is important to understand that it is a two-way road.   You have to be a role model for the students so that they can pick up the good things from you.
