2. Instructions: Research the assigned state’s: Dialect History Culture Traditions Gastronomy Typical clothing Music Notable landmarks. Identify key elements that make their state unique. Think about how to represent these elements creatively in a stand.

3. Stand Design and Decoration: Each group will design and decorate their stand (8:30 am-10 am) to represent the essence of their assigned state. Ideas could include: Visuals: Maps, images of landmarks, traditional clothing, and decorations using the colors of the state’s flag. Food Samples: Small traditional dishes or snacks from the state (if feasible). Cultural Artifacts: Display handmade crafts, replicas of famous artifacts, or traditional instruments. Interactive Elements: Consider including a quiz, a traditional dance demonstration, or a hands-on activity like crafting. Optional: ingredients for food samples, costumes, or artifacts (can be brought by students or sourced from local communities)

4. Presentation: During the kermes (10 am-12 pm), each group will present their stand to visitors (English and Spanish). They should be prepared to explain the significance of each element they’ve included and share interesting facts about the state. Engage visitors with questions, demonstrations, or small games related to their state’s culture.
