3. Definition of E-content According to Oxford , e-content is digital text and images designed to display on web pages. Saxena Anurag (2011) defines e-content as a package that satisfies the conditions like minimization of distance, cost effectiveness, user friendliness, and adaptability to local conditions.

4. Meaning of E-content E-content refers to content or information delivered over network based electronics devices or that is made available using computer network such as INTERNET. E-content is digital material that can be produced, developed, reused and distributed. E-content is a component of digital education that helps students and teachers transfer and acquire knowledge remotely and face to face.

5. Nature of E-content Interactivity:- E-content is designed to be interactive with features like quizzes, videos and animation, to make learning more effective and engaging. Flexibility:- E-content is available online, so students can access it from any device at any time. Accessibility:- DIKSHA- “Anytime, Anywhere Learning” Customisation:- it’s based on different types of trainees and specific learning objectives and different learning styles. Consistency:- All students will receive the same level of education, regardless to the school they attend or the teacher they have. Adaptive Learning:- Reused, Shared, Modified and Adopted. Time and cost effective:- Free of cost, available 24/7.

6. Importance of E-content Supports teachers: - help teachers, activate students and individualised the learning process. Improve engagement:- improve knowledge and engagement by providing a variety of resources. Supports learning outcomes:- Promotes the learners to access or interact with or as to achieve related learning outcomes. Supports drive needs:- considering the various diverse needs of learners. Brings together resources:- improve knowledge and engagement as it combines several media types including text, graphs, audio, video to accommodate various learning preferences and styles. Augments the learning experience:- E-content can deploy various media for visualization and explanation of abstract ideas. Ex:- 3D models, Experiments ( chemical combinations), Space ARC, Gaming Elements.

8. Needs of E-content E-content can accommodate everyone’s need, availability. Lectures can be taken any number of times. E-content offers access to update content. Learners can learn at they are own- pace and space. Quick delivery of lessons. Learners can choose specific and relevant areas of the learning materials, according to their requirement. Scalable:- Can cater a number of learners at a time. All learners receive same type of learning or training. Time and cost effective- No traveling. Helps in retaining knowledge. Less impact on environment- Paperless. E-Learning analytics, can enhance content materials and improved learning results in a number of ways. Ex- BYJU App.

9. Types of E-content Assembled E-content:- it is the e content assembled from several resources and books with due care taken of copyright issues. E.g.: E-books, E-journals Created E-content:- It is the E-content developed based on various sources and his own work. E g.: slide presentations, Word documents

Forms Of E-content E-content is often made of separate units or a combination of text, images, videos, sounds etc. These are the building blocks which are often used to make composite learning objects that can be exhibited in various presentation formats. Each type of presentation has several presentation formats. Depending upon the nature of the content and purpose of the resource, one can choose presentation format while developing the E-content. E-content can be saved in appropriate file formats.

11. Different forms of E-content includes:- Texts:- Create text files with WordPad, MS word. .text, .doc, .pdf are the main formats. Visual:- It includes both images and graphics. Various formats include .jpg, .png, .gif etc. Sound:- Various formats include .wav, .au, .MP3, .mid. .wav is common format and .au is compressed format. Video:- Format include .avi, .mpg, .flv, .mpg is compressed format. Animation:- 2D and 3D animations. Simulation:- Real time interactive e-content like virtual lab. Presentation:- PowerPoint Presentations. Other forms includes Games, Rich internet applications, database, E-journals, interactives, eBooks, immersive content etc.
