Goals of education envisaged in the Constitution Training the citizen. Achieving social and national integration. Providing education for all. Equilising education opportunities. Achieving the modernization of Indian society. Achieving human resource development.

Constitutional provisions related to Education Education in the concurrent list. 42 nd amendment in 1976 education was made in concurrent list. Artical 14 state shall not deny to person equality before law or equal protection of the law in the territory of India.

Article and provisions in Constitution of I ndia Article 28(1): No religious instruction shall be provided in any Educational institution wholly maintained out of state funds. Article 29(1):Any section of the citizens residing in the territory of India or any part there of having a district language, script or culture of its own shall have the right to conserve the same.

Article Related to Education Article 29(2):No citizen shall be denied admission into any Educational institution maintained by the state or receiving aid out of state funds on grounds of religion, race, cast, language or any of them. Article 30(1): All minorities, whether based on religion language shall have the right to establish and administer education institutions of their choice. Article 30(2):The state shall not in granting aid to educational institutions, discriminate against any educational institution on the ground that it is under the management of a minority whether based on religious or language. Artical41: The state shall, within the limits of its economic capacity and development and sickness and disablement and in other in other case undeserved want.

Articles Related to Education Article 45: The state shall endeavor to provide, within a period of ten years from the commencement of the Constitution, for free and compulsory education for all children uptil they complete the age of fourteen. Article 46: The state shall promote with special care the educational and economic interests of the weaker section of the people, and in particular, of scheduled castes and scheduled tribes and shall protect them from social injustice and all froms exploitation. Article 343: The official language of the union shall be Hindi in Devanagari script. Article 350(a): Each state will provide sufficient facilities to the children of minority linguistic sections at the primary level in each local segment in the state to Education in the mother tongue.

Articles Related to Education Article 351: It will the duty of the union to enrich , develop and ensure prosperity of the Hindi language by which it can become the medium of expression of Indian culture. Conclusion Parliament of India has transferred education from the state list to the concurrent list in order to illuminate the path of its progress .But the rate of progress has been tardy so far .it is needed that the union and state governments work honestly and devotedly by the constitutional provisions.
