Who was Jean Piaget? Jean Piaget was a Swiss psychologist.He was born on 9 August 1896 in Neuchatel, Switzerland. He contributed in the field of child development and cognitive development. His cognition development theory is world-wide famous. Piaget's theory of cognitive development and epistemological view are together called "genetic epistemology". Teacher as Facilitators Teacher should support and help their students in the learning process. Teacher should design in such a way so that student will learn effectively and efficiently. Presented by: Harshul Banodha

Individual differences Class is the heterogeneous, there are differences among the Pupils. Piaget’s theory is based on the development stages. Teacher should teach on the basis of their cognitive development. For e.g.: Teacher shouldn’t use the deductive method in the class of students belonging to the second stage or third stage child. Readiness to learn Curious to learn Teachers should teach the students on the basis of their mental development. Teachers should also ensure about the stages of development of his student. Teacher can’t teach 10th maths to the child of 5th class because he is not ready to learn or not ready to build hypothesis to solve it. Teacher have to be aware of his student’s cognition level.
