Educational Manager as initiator… Initiators have clear, decisive long-range policies and goals that transcend but include implementation of the current innovation.
Managers combine responsive behavior with initiating actions; the variations in their behavior are linked to their rapport with teachers and administration, and to their understanding and acceptance of a change effort A climate of innovation and principal leadership in schools are regarded as significant factors in successfully implementing school change or innovation . the relationship between the school climate supportive of innovation and the principal’s leadership has rarely been addressed to determine whether schools successfully perform their intended change .
the leadership style of the principal significantly affects how the teachers perceive the school climate in terms of support for innovation. Educational Manager’s leadership style as an Initiator, rather than a Responder, can provide support for an organizational climate which enhances innovation in schools.

The mediation process improves communication, narrows outstanding issues, defuses emotions and defines areas of agreement. Statistics show a success rate for mediation averaging 80 per cent . Mediation offers an alternative dispute resolution mechanism, which enables schools to avoid costly and damaging public litigation, with all the ensuing negative publicity and damage to their reputation.
