refers to a relaxed, casual and often more personal way of communicating. It is characterized by the use of contractions , slang , idiomatic expressions and colloquial terms .
Hey, what’s up?” “I kinda feel tired today.” “That movie was super cool!” “Let’s hang out later.”
refers to the style of speech or writing that mimics the way people talk in everyday life and may still be present in both informal and semi-formal communication, such as blogs , vlogs , lifestyle articles , or even casual opinion pieces
“Have you ever wondered why we always talk about the weather?” “I think you’ll really enjoy this book.” “So, here’s what happened the other day…”

11 focuses on word choice and vocabulary pertains more to the style and structure of the message. It’s possible to use a conversational tone while still maintaining a neutral or even slightly formal word choice, and vice versa.
12 Example 1: Informal Language: “LOL I totally freaked out during the concert; it was lit!” Conversational Tone: “I must say, the concert was unforgettable. I completely lost it when my favorite song played.”
