Activity Activity Title: “Message Relay: Decode & Deliver” Objective: To help students understand the importance of clarity, active listening, and feedback in the communication process. Setup: Divide the class into small groups (4–5 students each). Prepare a short message (2–3 sentences) related to a topic they’re studying. Only one student from each group receives the message from the teacher. Steps: Encoding & Delivery : The first student whispers the message to the next person in the group. Relay : Each student passes the message along until the last person receives it. Decoding & Feedback : The final student writes down what they heard and reads it aloud. Debrief : Compare the original message with the final version. Discuss what changed and why. Reflection Questions: 1. What helped or hindered the message from being passed accurately? 2. How did tone, body language, or assumptions affect understanding? 3. What strategies could improve clarity and listening?
